"You guys hungry?" Emily asked, not bothering to turn around

"You guys hungry?" Emily asked, not bothering to turn around. She was putting freshly baked muffins onto a plate. If there was one thing Emily Young enjoyed doing, it was baking. "Like I have to ask."

Jared sat at the table, Embry following suit. Kelsie took her place in Embry's lap, wrapping her arms around his neck as his wrapped around her waist. If you didn't know the two, you'd think they were officially dating. Emily turned, noticing a fourth person with the wolves.

Bella stopped upon seeing Emily. That's why she would stare. Emily had three scars running down the side of her face. She was beautiful, and somehow the scars only enhanced that.

"Who's this?" Emily smiled at the new face.

"Bella Swan. Who else?"

"So you're the vampire girl." Emily said, remembering what the pack had told her about the Swan girl.

"So you're the, wolf girl." Bella sounded uncomfortable, as if she was scared of offending Emily.

"Guess so." Emily laughed. "Well, I'm engaged to one."

Emily grabbed the tray of muffins, placing them on the round table in the kitchen. Instantly, Embry leaned forward, grabbing a muffin for himself and Kelsie to share. Jared did the same, causing Emily to grab his wrist.

"Save some for your brothers." She scolded, knowing that if she didn't, the two boys would eat all of them. "And ladies first. Muffin?"

"Sure, thanks." Bella smiled slightly, grabbing a muffin.

Kelsie picked off a piece of the muffin Embry had grabbed, placing it into her mouth. His left arm remained on her waist, holding her in place on his lap, as her right arm was wrapped around his shoulders. Kelsie's left arm, the one that Paul knicked, was fully healed, leaving white lines where the open wounds used to be.

"Leave it to Jake to find a way around Sam's gag order." Emily said sarcastically, leaning against the counter behind her. Bella, who stood by the stairs, shook her head.

"He didn't, say anything to me." She denied. Kelsie let out a laugh.

"It's a wolf thing." The Lahote girl explained. "Alpha's orders get obeyed. Whether we want them to or not."

Kelsie spoke from experience. She went almost a month without speaking to Embry, because she was ordered not to.

"Alright, check it out." Embry smiled, looking at Bella. "We can hear each other's thoughts!"

"Will you shut up!" Jared yelled jokingly. "These are trade secrets! Dammit!"

"This chick runs with vampires!" Jared raised his hand in Bella's direction.

"So did Kelsie!" Embry fought back, a hint of a smile on his face. The hybrid rolled her eyes slightly, resting her head on Embry's. Did. After the Cullen's left town without telling her, she made the decision to stop speaking with them. Including Bella. From then on, she only associated herself with the pack. Until now.

"Yeah, well Kelsie's one of us now." Jared pointed out, taking a bite out of his muffin.

"You can't really run with vampires." Bella told them. Jared and Embry looked at the human, wanting her to say more. "Cause they're fast."

"Yeah? Well we're faster." Kelsie said, staring at the pale girl. Part of her wondered if Bella had any contact with the bloodsuckers. But deep down, she knew they had cut off all contact with the human as well.

"Freaked out yet?"

"You're not the first monsters I've met." Bella let out a dry laugh, finding her small joke funny.

Monsters. The word felt like venom as Kelsie heard it. As if Bella was insulting them, as if she actually thought of them as monsters. Embry looked to his girl, noticing she was lost in her own thoughts. He grabbed her hand, softly rubbing it with his thumb, reminding her that he was there.

"Jake's right. You're good with weird." Sam laughed, entering the home. He pulled Emily into a hug, before placing a kiss to her lips, and the rest of her face. The house soon became full as Jacob and Paul returned, playfully shoving each other up the steps.

"Sorry." Paul said to Bella as he sat next to his sister and her imprint. Jacob stood in the doorway, crossing his arms as he leaned against the frame. He watched as Bella met the hot-head officially, before silently asking her to follow him outside.

"Kelsie, you okay? I didn't get you did I?" Paul asked, a worried look painted on his face.

"Just a little scratch." Kelsie whispered, showing him her arm. Nobody was upset with Paul, it was an accident. They all knew that. If anything, it was Kelsie's fault. She knew she shouldn't have been that close to him.

"You're lucky it healed. Embry would've kicked your ass." Sam laughed, joining his pack at the table.

The pack settled around the table, eating muffins and talking about how their lives would be now that Bella knew about them.

short chapter, mainly bc i've hit a major writing block with this story, and i was planning on making this chapter longer but idk where to go with it from here. i'm gonna try my best to continue this story, as i love embry and kelsie way too much to discontinue. if anything, it'll just be extremely slow updates while i write, bc i don't have a lot of time to write anymore. i promise though, this book is making it to the end of eclipse, at least. i want it to make it to breaking dawn pt 2, but it depends on if i can continue writing this consistently or not.

tysm for reading, i love you all!!

i have other stories if you want to check them out!!
