"What do you mean hopefully?" Sam asked, his eyes searching Kelsie's as if they'd show him the answer to his question.

"I haven't been able to see Bella's thoughts or smell her blood since I met her. But I have been able to familiarize myself with her scent. Although I'm not sure how much help it'll be." Kelsie started, staring at the table. "I've been slowly losing my vampire side. I can't smell human blood anymore, and I'm not sure if I'll be able to pick up Bella's scent, but I can try."

"That's all we ask. Just try your best, and if you can't that's fine Kelsie. Jared, Paul, and I should be able to find her." Sam told her, headed towards the sliding glass door. Jared had arrived and was waiting outside for his pack.

It was nearing sunset, and the wolf pack had decided to run to Forks in their wolf form. Meaning they had to go through the woods. Luckily, Kelsie still had her speed, so she was able to keep up.

Kelsie, if you're tuned in, go around the front of Bella's house. Charlie and Billy are there. Sam said, confusing Jared. As far as the Cameron boy knew, Kelsie couldn't hear what they were saying.

"I can read minds Jared, get with the program." Kelsie laughed, splitting from the wolves. Slowing to a walk, she made her way over to Charlie Swan and Billy Black. Standing with them was Harry Clearwater, who had been the one to call the boys for help.

"Billy! What's going on? Is Bella okay?" Kelsie asked as she approached the three men.

"She will be once we find her." Billy said, looking uo at the girl.

"I'll call the Cullens again. Her note said she and Edward went on a walk." Charlie sighed, reaching to pull out his phone.

"They left town Charlie." Billy spoke. Kelsie furrowed her eyebrows. They left and didn't tell her? But why?

"Hospital said Doc Cullen got a big job somewhere else." Harry added, smiling sadly at the hybrid. He knew they were helping her, and judging by the look on her face, she didn't know that they were gone.

Looking around the search party, Kelsie noticed a familiar face standing by Bella's truck. Jacob. She made her way over to him, engulfing the 16 year old in a hug.

"She'll be okay Jake. Sam's got Jared and Paul helping look for her." Kelsie whispered to him. At the moment, Jacob didn't care who found her, as long as she was safe.

What seemed like forever, was only five minutes before Sam Uley emerged from the woods, with Bella in his arms.

"Charlie!" Jacob shouted, pointing towards the 20 year old. The man rushed to grab his daughter, thanking Sam in the process. Following Sam, were Jared and Paul; all three boys were shirtless, and wearing jean shorts. Something Kelsie had gotten used to with Paul. The girl ran to her brother, giving him a hug.

"I would've helped, but Jacob's here." She whispered. Sam looked over to the Black boy, almost as if he was preying on him.

"Paul, you and Kelsie can stay with Emily and I for the night. Jared you as well. I want to discuss Kelsie's abilities." Sam said, retreating back into the woods.

"Sam saved Bella? Sam Uley? The hall monitor on steroids? I still think that's a lie." Embry said, almost laughing. It had been six months since they found Bella in the woods, and Embry was still confused by it. Kelsie had met him and Quil after school, to walk to Jacob's house with them.

"Who knew he could be nice." Quil added, actually laughing.

"He's not that bad. He's a nice guy, and so are Jared and my brother!" Kelsie told the boys, playfully hitting them.

It was a sunny day in La Push, the usual for this area. The two boys wanted to bother Jake today, as he had supposedly been rebuilding motorbikes with Bella Swan. They approached the house, noticing an orange-red truck parked in the driveway. Maybe the bike building story was true? Embry and Quil tossed their backpacks on the fromt porch, before heading over to the garage, where Jacob most likely was.

"Yo, Jake, you in there?" Quil yelled, before the three entered the small building.

"It's cool. It's just my boys." Jacob laughed as Bella went to stand up. All three 16 year olds stood in front of the pair, not noticing Bella at first. Once they did however, a mischevious smile grew on each of their faces.

"Hey. This is Bella. Bella that's Quil and Embry. And that's La Push's princess, Kel–" Jacob was cut off.

"Kelsie?" Bella asked, not understanding why the girl was with Jacob's friends. As far as Bella knew, Kelsie was a Cullen.

"Hey Bella." Kelsie muttered, not wanting to talk to her much. Since the night they found Bella, Kelsie seemed to be getting worse. Her body temperature had reached the 90's, and she was getting agitated by the littlest things.

"So the bike building story is true." Quil spoke, a small smile on his face.

"Taught him everything he knows." Bella replied, laughing slightly.

"What about the part where you're his girlfriend?" Quil smirked, knowing Jacob lied about that.

"Uh, we're just friends." Bella said awkwardly.

"Ooh, burn!" Embry laughed, as Jacob glared at him.

"Remember, I said she's a girl. And a friend." He gritted his teeth, not wanting Bella to be weired out.

"Embry, Quil, do you remember him making that distinction?" Kelsie smirked at the boy.

"Nope."

"Not at all."

"So you guys have girlfriends. That's, awesome." Bella spoke up, defending Jacob.

"Yeah right, Quil's actually taking his cousin to prom." Jacob laughed, tossing a rag at the Ateara boy.

"Yeah, that's a riot. You want funny, Black? I'll give you funny." Quil lunged for Jacob, causing the two boys to start play fighting. Embry and Kelsie made their way over to where Bella was, the three watching as the two bys wrestled in the grass.

"I got five bucks on Quil." Embry said, crossing his arms.

"You're on." Bella laughed, hoping Jake would win the small fight.

Soon enough, the boys stopped and re-entered the garage. Jacob had won, much to Embry's dismay, and now the group of five was hanging around as Jake worked on fixing one of the two motorbikes. It was calm, peaceful. But it wouldn't last that way for long.

Kelsie Lahote was changing, and little did she know, this would be the last time she would speak to her friends for a while.
