Alaxandr walked into the Great Hall with a group of Slytherins, his cousin and his friends chatting about while he half listened. He was still tired from last night's adventure, and the sleep he did get felt like a simple nap. Even the memories of everything that occurred the previous night were still fresh in his mind. If he thought hard enough, he could still bring out the feeling of the fear he felt. Remembering seeing all of those giant black arachnids with all of their chirping in the pitch blackness of the forbidden forest.

The thought of those spiders turning them into lunch.

It was enough to get him sweating and his heart racing.

He followed his group towards the Slytherin table as his eyes wandered towards the Gryffindor table. He caught the eyes of the trio staring straight at him, bags under their eyes as he could tell they were all tired as well. He was sure they were discussing what they found out, and he had to admit he wanted to talk about it as well. He was unsure if he should tell his cousin about his adventures with the Gryffindor's knowing the feud they had, so he held his tongue.

He wondered if he should sit and eat with them and the look in Hermione's eyes was calling for him. He was tempted to sit with them but he was being dragged along by his Slytherin friends. He gave them a wry smile and shrugged his shoulders, following the status quo of keeping to one's house table.

"The school year is almost over, you know what that means," Daphne said.

Alax wasn't sure what she meant, but from the way everyone else at their table nodded their head meant this was a recurring thing.

"What does it mean?" Alax asked innocently.

"It means exams are right around the corner," Daphne answered.

"Remember, Professor Snape told us all that exams would start the first week of June, which is one week from today," Draco said.

"Where has your mind been Alaxandr, you've been pretty spacey lately," Daphne said.

"Has Hogwarts finally gotten to you Prince?" Pansy said.

"No, it hasn't gotten to me, Parkinson. These exams will be nothing for me," Alax said.

That was no lie. All the work he's been doing at Hogwarts was so easy he could finish it last minute if wanted.

"Are you sure something isn't bothering you, Alax?" Daphne asked.

"Something, or someone," Draco said.

Alax turned to him and watched him closely.

"What do you mean, like Gemma and her friends?" Theo asked.

"It's nothing like that," Alax said.

"Oh I'm sure it's something like that. Don't worry, I'll learn about it eventually cousin," Draco said.

"Draaaco," Alax drawledout.

"Alaaax."

"Anyway, we have transfiguration soon," Pansy said.

Transfiguration class was somewhat of a highlight of his day that helped him take his mind away from the Forbidden Forest.

Ten minutes into the class, Professor McGonagall reminded them of their exams starting in one week.

"Exams?" he heard Seamus Finnigan howl. "Were still getting exams?"

There was a loud bang next to Alax as Neville Longbottom's wand slipped, vanishing one of the legs on his desk.

"Whoops," Neville said to the laughter of the class. McGonagall tsk as she stepped forward but Alax stopped her.

"I got it ma'am. Novis Tuum Damnum," he said, and suddenly, the leg of Neville's chair was back in place with the boy back sitting upright.
