****Sydney's POV****

I shot out of bed when I heard pounding on my bedroom door. What the hell is going on?! I looked over at my alarm clock and saw I had ten minutes to get to school. Shit!

"Sydney! Wake up! You're going to be late again!" Mom shouted.

"I'm going, Mom!" I yell back as I reach for the first pair of pants I see and a random top from my desk chair.

I brushed my teeth in a hurry, pulled my hair back, and applied mascara, still gotta look like a functioning part of society even though I am slowly withering away on the inside. I swung my bag over my shoulder and ran out the door and down the street. Why do I bother trying? I'm gonna be late anyways... Mom has to be at work soon... I sighed and mentally kicked myself for actually thinking I stood a chance. I began my journey and hummed to myself, kicking rocks aside and enjoying the quiet morning... Or not so quiet, I could hear a car speeding down the once quiet serene road and saw that all too familiar little blue Camaro come to a screeching halt next to me. I crossed my arms over my chest as I stayed planted, determined to hold my ground. Thankfully he had his sunglasses on because I can't say no to those eyes... Oh Gods those eyes.

"Get in the car. I'll take you to school." He said.

"No thanks, I can walk."

"Get in the car, Sydney." He snapped.

I raised an eyebrow and shifted my weight to my hip, "And what authority do you have over me?"

He gripped the steering wheel and inhaled a sharp breath, "I'm not asking you. And don't think I won't hesitate to throw you into the damn car."

He isn't one to make an empty threat and I am in no position to turn down a ride... With the way Billy drives I will be there at speed Mach Jesus. I sighed, knowing the consequences of my actions were gonna bite me in the ass yet again.

I walked to the car and flung the door open, "Straight to school."

He ran his tongue along his bottom lip, "Sure, Doll. We need to talk."

"We have nothing to talk about Billy."

"Oh I think we do. Why have you been dodging my calls?" He asked as he flew down one street before making a sharp turn onto another.

"I haven't been dodging anything. I haven't been home. I'm out living my life. I don't live on Standby waiting for you to call me so you can fuck me and then make me leave."

"Well if you would actually go home every now and then you'd realize that."

"So when I stay with Lucy and Steve it's bad but when I stay at your place for a few days while your parents are away it's fine?" I asked.

"You know I love it when you argue." He grinned.

"Take me to school, Billy. I'm not interested in your games anymore." I muttered as I sunk into the seat.

"What if I did wanna give us one more chance?" He asked.

What? Where the hell did this come from... I don't trust this, but my heart is telling me differently... I bit my lip, struggling to hold my composure, once that falls, I'm vulnerable.

"What brought this on?" I asked, "You can't stand the fact that someone got away from you?"

"Whose car are you in, Sweetness? You think you got away. But your head swims with thoughts of me and my cock. Because your perfect ass saunters through my head all the time."

"Oh so that's what you think? If I did think about your cock, I would be wondering why it's so small, maybe if you ditched some of your toxic ego there'd be more room for your dick to grow."
