Chapter 19

****Eddie's POV****

I feel like an absolute shit bag... I made my girlfriend cry... Right after she was about to cum all over my fingers... Great timing guys. Great. Now I have to do damage control for two and try not to be killed by Sydney while I do it. I drove to school and saw Steve's car in the lot, hopefully Lu didn't ditch... I know Syd had two black eyes and was hiding out at the Harrington place, if only she was still there. Apparently she returns today and I just know that I'm Public Enemy number one... And that is after Carver and Hargrove... I walked into the hallway and saw a couple of students start to whisper, great... Word has already got out? Or Syd is hiding somewhere in this crowd and she will strike when I least expect it. I shrugged it off and walked to my locker, hoping to see My Girl on the way... But nothing... I was met with the usual eye roll, scoff, or the person who runs away because they think I'm the devil. Most of the time I'm invisible here... Until I choose to make a spectacle of myself. I sighed as I walked to my locker and swung it open, a note hit the floor and landed between my shoes.

After finding the book I needed in my trash filled locker I slammed it shut and grabbed the note. The sound of the first period bell rang and I stuffed it in my pocket as I started for Miss. O'Donnell's class. Joy oh Joy.

"Nice of you to join us today, Mr. Munson." I heard.

"Good morning..." I mumbled before taking my seat.

I sat while the rest of the class recited the pledge of allegiance and remembered the note once Miss O'Donnell started her lecture on the Romans.

"Steer clear of Syd. She is on the warpath. If she knows about this note we're both dead... Burn it. -Dustin"

I have a secret Henderson... I may have an advantage... A Henderson versus a Henderson... Who am I kidding, Dustin would never fully turn on Syd. What is wrong with me? I struggled to focus on the lesson as I replayed the shit I said... I wasn't right for that... I pushed blame into her... She didn't know... But.... There were times I told her and we'd end up fooling around... But I really... I really and royally fucked up... I shouldn't have said any of that shit... I told Uncle Wayne about it this morning and he said that I'm lucky a lady like Lucy even looks at me and that I need to cherish her. And he's right. I need to figure out how to fix this... Maybe I can ask Uncle Wayne tonight if he is home in time for dinner... He's been working late more frequently now... More time for Lu to sleep over and sneak out before he wakes up... I smiled at the thought and remembered I need to fix this first then have her sleep over and make up later. All I know right now is I want my girl back and I wanna pick up where we left off on my couch... I caught a glimpse of a high up curled ponytail and a pink sweater bound down the hallway and knew immediately that was my sweet girl...

"Lucy!" I called.

I tried to catch up and was suddenly yanked back by my vest and pushed against a locker. I was face to face with the beast herself.

"Sydney-"

"Shut the fuck up, Eddie. You have some nerve showing your face around here. Why would you even try to talk to her right now?! Why would you say that shit?! She has been crying all night! Give me one good reason not shove you in your filthy ass locker and leave you in there? God knows the smell in there will cover up your decaying body." She snapped.

"I know it was fucked up! I was going to apologize! But now I can't thanks to-"

She yanked her hand back and slapped me, "Choose your next words wisely because I am not above calling an assembly and castrating you with a butterknife in front of the whole school..."

I swallowed and kept eye contact with her, "Thanks to the fact that I left my backpack in History and need to go get it."

"Yeah. You should do that." She hissed, "And Eddie... If you come anywhere near her today at school... I'll punch you in the throat and really give you a fucking reason to miss practice. Then you can tell the boys that the Psycho Henderson did it this time, in case you need another excuse."
