***Lucy's POV****
Eddie and I had made plans to see a movie today since the weather had been gloomy and rainy, but we ran into trouble when the van wouldn't start. He said we can hang out at his trailer and watch movies so I figured why not? Anything to get away from Syd and Steve. They have made the pool house their own little sex dungeon right beneath my parents' nose. It's a wonder the two get away with it. Steve has been searching for that "jacket" for the last two days... Lucky for me Sydney's stay in the pool house is ending soon. She is almost back to normal... Well... Normal for Sydney normal...
I had a pink sweater on when I got here. When I went to Eddie's room I already knew I was gonna raid his closet, I grabbed the closest worn tattered and stained band shirt I could find. This one happened to be one of his own, Corroded Coffin. I smiled and pulled my long hair into a bun before pulling the shirt over my head and putting my glasses on, I didn't have to wear them often but there are rare occasions, this is one of them. Eddie looked at me with his jaw practically on the floor,
"What?" I asked.
He stood silent.
"Eddie... What?!"
"He shook his head, "Nothing. Let's go watch a movie..." He mumbled as he turned and walked out.
"Why are you being weird?" I asked as I grabbed the blanket off his bed and followed him.
He shook his head, "I'm not being weird, Princess. Pick a movie. They're in the cabinet under the TV... Sadly... There isn't a big selection... Uncle Wayne and I don't use this as a living room too much..."
His Uncle Wayne rooms out here, he gave Eddie the bedroom when he took custody of him as a kid... Eddie doesn't talk about his parents much and I never bring up the subject, it's not my business to ask. If he wants to share he will, I wouldn't ever pressure him into something that would make him uncomfortable or upset in some way. I'm starting to realize that I may be falling in love with Eddie... And part of that scares me because what if he doesn't feel the same way about me? Just because he is with me now doesn't mean he loves me back... And I don't wanna say it and make him feel like he has to say it back to me... He's just so... Amazing... I opened up the small cabinet and skimmed through the movies and smiled when I saw what looked like old VHS tapes of family videos. One was labeled, "Eddie, 7th grade talent show Corroded Coffin" and "Eddie and Wayne, Bring your Dad to School Day" . I smiled at the second one, the way Eddie sees his Uncle Wayne brings me comfort... Eddie doesn't have his dad... I know Steve and our dad don't always see eye to eye... Well they hardly see eye to eye... But I know deep down they do love one another and it hurts me to think Eddie goes through life without that... Until Uncle Wayne... And honestly... I love the way Eddie turned out. I looked over to see him looking through the kitchen cabinets until he found a packet of microwave popcorn. He tossed the packet into the microwave and then reached into the fridge to bring out two bottles of coke.
"Lucky for us, we have snacks." he smiled, "Did you pick a movie, Sweetheart?"
"Umm yeah!" I fibbed, I was distracted thinking about you...
"Well what did you pick?" He asked as he raised his eyebrows.
I reached for a random tape, hoping it was a good one, "Umm The Breakfast Club!"
Thank goodness it was a good one. I breathed as small victorious sigh of relief as I slid the tape into the VCR and sat on the couch. Eddie set the cokes down on the table and grinned as he looked over at me,
"What?" asked, "Are we doing this again?"
He chucked, "Do you know why we're doing this again, Princess?" He asked.
