"𝐀𝐑𝐄𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐒𝐔𝐑𝐄𝐘𝐎𝐔'𝐋𝐋beokay?" Steve turned in the driver seat to face Juliette after parking his car. The girl nodded, picking at the skin around her nails. "If you need me at all, just go to the school and get the front desk to get me, yeah?" Juliette nodded and grabbed her bag from the floor.
Steve wasn't Juliette's brother but he acted like it. They both know what it feels like to be alone. They understood each other. They understood in a way no one else would. Their not related by blood, but he's her brother, her dad. Steve would walk through fire to make sure Juliette would be okay. He'd go to war even if he knew he wouldn't make it out alive. They only had each other in this life. The others were their family too, but Steve and Juliette was family.
"I'll be okay, Stevie. Thank you."
The Amour girl got out the car, saying a 'bye' to Steve before walking towards the entrance to the middle school. As she got closer, she noticed the familiar curly head boy. "Dusty."
The boy turned around, noticing the girl, he immediately pulled her in for a hug. "Are you okay? What happened yesterday?" Dustin questioned as he pulled back and Juliette smiled to him, nodding.
"I'm fine. Where's everyone else?" She scanned the front of middle school for the party and Max, none of the others were present.
"Stop being a bay and do it already!" Dustin and Juliette turned their attention to the familiar voice of Mike Wheeler. The duo shared a look before following the voice to the back of the school.
"This is so disgusting. Is this really necessary?" The Mayfield girl cringed. As the duo arrived, they saw Max and Mike by the dumpster behind the school, each holding a stick.
"What the hell's going on?" Dustin asked. Max gave Juliette a small smile but if fell when the Amour girl looked down at her shoes, wrapping her arms around her waist to self sooth her anxiety.
Mike shrugged, "What do you think? We're looking for Dart." If as on cue, a trash bag flew out the dumpster. Juliette stepped back in time to not get hit with the trash.
"Jesus!"
"Oh!" Max stepped back.
Another bag was thrown to the floor and Lucas then appeared, jumping over the edge of the dumpster to the ground with a grunt. "Well, well, well. Look who finally decided to show up." The Sinclair said to Dustin with a snarky tone. "After I drew the short straw. Real convenient."
