𝐈𝐓 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐍𝐄𝐗𝐓 𝐃𝐀𝐘, and a storm begun to brew over Hawkins. Juliette had awoken earlier then normal, sneaking out the room to the kitchen, careful not to wake Max or EL who were dead sleep.

"Hey, kid. You're up early." Hopper spoke quietly, taking a sip of coffee from his mug. Juliette dragged her hands down her face, nodding. The Amour girl couldn't sleep with the thoughts flashing behind her closed eyelids. Not long after she had managed to find peace, she woke from a dream, nightmare. To say she was tired was an understatement.

"Bad dream."

"Coffee?" Hopper asked. Yes, he wouldn't give caffeine to kids, even if they were fourteen, but Juliette was responsible and she did look like she would fall asleep at any given moment.

Juliette smiled, "Do you have tea?"

It wasn't long after that Max and El woke up, getting ready to walk to Max's house. The sky got darker as the grey clouds huddled over the town.

"It's gonna start pouring soon." Max stated as they neared to her home. Juliette had her pinkie latched with Max's, it was easier to break apart from each other if anyone walked past them. Yes, they were open to their friends about being a couple, Joyce and Hopper, too, but it's still the small town of Hawkins in the eighties, others might not take so kindly. "We should be at the mall or, like, watching a movie or something."

Eleven and Juliette were both on edge after the game yesterday. El was adamant on checking that Billy was his normal self, that he couldn't actually see her.

"We can go after." Juliette suggested, looking up at the sky, a small smile on her face at the thought of rain splattering to the ground below, leaving small raindrops on her cheek.

"You don't believe me?" El questioned, gaze on the Mayfield girl.

"I believe you saw some super weird stuff, totally, but you said Mike has sensed you in there before, right?" El nodded. "So maybe it was just like that. Maybe Billy just. . . sensed you somehow."

"But the screams."

"Yeah, I know, but here's the thing. When Billy is alone with a girl, they make, like, really crazy noises."

Juliette scrunched up her nose, shivering in disgust. "They scream?" El quickly asked, eyebrows raised.

"Yeah, but, like. . ."

"Happy screams." Juliette interjected.

El seemed just as confused as she did moments prier, "Happy screams? What is happy screams?"
