𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐁𝐑𝐔𝐍𝐄𝐓𝐓𝐄 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐒𝐀𝐓 𝐁𝐄𝐒𝐈𝐃𝐄 𝐌𝐀𝐗, twisting the ring around her finger. After herself and El crashed at Max's, they were rudely woken by a phone call. Max had picked it up, annoyed, only for Mike to be on the other end, needing the girls to come over to his as soon as possible.

"I didn't think it was anything at first. I mean, I think I just didn't want to believe it." Will spoke, confirming that the shiver down his spin was back. That maybe what the girls found out about Billy was connected. "The first time I felt it was at Day of the Dead."

Mike added, "Power went out that night, too."

Will nodded, "And then I felt it again at the field near the Nelson farm the next day. Then again yesterday outside Castle Byers."

"What does it feel like?" Max asked.

Will started. "It's almost like. . ."

". . . Your body freezes. It's cold and you can't breathe. Like. . . when you drop at the top of a roller-coaster." Juliette finished, finally looking up to see eyes on her.

Will nodded, not allowing the others to question how Juliette knew. "Exactly that. I've felt it before. . . whenever he was close."

"Whenever who was close?" Max furrowed his eyebrows.

"The Mind Flayer."

Juliette fidgeted with the bottom of her baggy shirt. "The day on the field."

El gazed from the Amour girl to Will. "I closed the gate."

"We thought that last time, right? We saw the gate close. . . El with it." Juliette added, wishing that it was still closed but she had gone through this before. The dreams, the visions, the shiver down her spin of fear or the high pitch squeal from the Upside Down.

"What if he never left?" Will thought aloud. "What if we locked him out here with us?"

The group stood around the table, Will using chalk to sketch the Mind Flayer onto a piece of paper. "This is him. All of him. But, that day of the field, after Lu got out, a part of him attached itself to me." Will wiped his hand over the drawing, residue of black chalk coated his palm. "My mom got it out of me. . . and Eleven closed the gate."

Will explained, flipping the paper around, reminding Juliette of when Will went missing and El had tried to explain to her, and the others, where he was by using the DnD board in Mike's basement.

"But the part that was still in me. . . what if it's still in our world?" Will's chalked handprint outlined on the other side. "In Hawkins."
