𝐉𝐔𝐋𝐈𝐄𝐓𝐓𝐄 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐋𝐘𝐈𝐍𝐆 on her bed, arms crossed over her stomach as she looked up at the glow in the stars stickers scattered on her celling. The darkness engrossed her room. Only the moon and stars casting a gleam of light from outside.

A sudden knock echoed form her window, frightening Juliette. The brunette sat up abruptly, breath caught in her throat. She knew it wasn't the party, they'd have walkied over before.

With soft steps, Juliette ushered to the window, panic captivating the tween. Nerves bubbled in the pit of her stomach, causing her to stumble over her own feet. "ah." She mumbled, quietly.

Pulling back the opal curtains, her fears evaporated as she saw the miscreant was actually a familiar red head.

Juliette raised the window, a meek smile on her face. "What are you doing here?" She whisper yelled, chuckling.

"Scooch." Max gestured her hand for the occupant of the room to move. The brunette stepped aside as the Mayfield girl maneuvered herself inside, stumbling with a thump as she got her footing.

"Hi to you too." Juliette chortled, closing the widow and pulling back the blinds closed once more.

       "Hi." Max grinned.

Juliette wrapped her arms around her waist, trying to keep in the warmth, and yet also to try and hide her nerves that Max was in her room.. in the middle of the night...alone...and unannounced. "What are you doing here? Not that I want you to leave. I just. . ."

Max sat down of Juliette's bed, glancing around at the small objects scattered she hadn't really noticed the night of Halloween. "I came to see you. Couldn't sleep." the Mayfield girl looked down, kicking her feet back and forth.

The brunette sighed, walking round to her side of the bed. "Neither could I." Juliette lied down. Max kicked off her shoes before copying Juliette's actions. Both of them focusing up at the constellation stickers.

It was growing later and darker, time ticking away. The duo hadn't spoken, their attention above as they sat in comfortable silent.

"Max?" Juliette whispered into the silence, seeing if she was awake.

"Does the nightmares ever go away?"

The brunette sat up, turning her head to look at the red head. "Eventually they fade. The first few nights are the worse." Max turned to look to the Amour girl, barely seeing the glint in her grey eyes. "But not to worry, I can kick any monsters ass."

Max snickered, glad the dark hid her reddened cheeks. Juliette lied back down beside the Mayfield girl, the red head reaching for the others hand and begun to fidget with the ring placed on Juliette's index finger. Max begun to slowly drift to sleep, knowing she was safe beside Juliette.

The brunette intertwined her hand with Max's, shutting her eyes as she too let sleep consume her, head falling onto the red heads shoulder.

"𝐎𝐊𝐀𝐘. 𝐒𝐎 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐑 going to slowly press on the accelerator." the older boy instructed.

Steve had decided to teach Juliette to drive his car encase of a situation, like the night Max drove Billy's car to the pumpkin patch accrued.

Juliette slowly pressed on the gas, the car jerking forward. Luckily, they were only in an empty parking lot. "What if I press the wron-"

"It's fine. You've got his." He reassured and moved the shifting stick back.

"Whoa." Juliette's eyes went wide in surprise as he moved something without warning. "Don't do that!"

Steve grabbed the wheel, holding it steady. "Just changing gears. Go a little faster." He gestured forward and the brunette girl nodded, hands gripping tightly, afraid if let go she'd crash.

"What if I crash? What if forget what way? What If I-"

"Clam down and focus on going forward. No ones here so your fine." Juliette nodded, bitting her bottom lip. Slowly, and unsurely, the girl moved forward, calmer this time. "Okay. Great. Now turn the wheel to the right just a little at a time."

Juliette compiled, anxiety emerging the brunette. Taking a shaky breath, she turned the wheel, forgetting her uncertainty.

Steve directed Juliette into the parking space, shifting into park when stationary.

"You did it!" The older Harrington boy grinned, holding his hand up for a high five that Juliette excitedly returned.

"Yay. I did it!" She squealed.

 I did it!" She squealed
