Sammy was a adorable sweet dog that was a bait dog. Sammy was found and hurt. Bait dogs are used for other dogs to attack so they get more aggressive. He had scars and open sores on him. People thought he was not adoptable and they wanted to euthanize him. I got a call from my friend who worked there and I came to see him. He wasn't mean. He was right at the end of the kennel and up against a wall and he didn't look at me. He looked sad. I took him with me because I knew I could help him. He couldn't even walk. He was so thin and weak. He couldn't walk for months and I worked with him and finally he walked and finally he fully recovered and now you could never tell he was a bait dog. But just think some dogs like Sammy never get a chance to feel loved they die and never get help. Dog fighting is illegal and I try to help every dog I can get a second chance. Sammy now is in a happy home and blossoming even more! He has a four and sixteen year old in the home and the family treats him like a child and he's very spoiled and well cared for now . He even has a best friend Daisy another dog I rescued and this family is close friends to me so I get to see him a lot.
