Zeus was a huge dog... Huge was an understatement he probably had Great Dane in him and a Saint Bernard. He was a sweet sweet boy but an escape artist. He could hop any fence and he would run up to people because he wanted to be friendly to everyone and it would scare people. How I got Zeus was from a lady who was walking him into a shelter I was volunteering that day and noticed a lady being dragged by a dog to the front door. I petted him and asked her why she was turning him in she stated he was an escape artist and she couldn't handle him anymore she had gotten him as a farm dog and was going to train him to do it but he didn't want to do it he would adventure off the farm and come back later and she didn't like that. She handed me the leash and walked out in a huff and puff like she was stressed about turning him in. Before she left she said "find him a good home he's a good boy." And I said I would. I volunteered every Saturday and some days during the week at the shelter. The days I came he was always there other dogs had came and gone before him and after him and he sat in the kennel just sad but whenever anyone would walk by his kennel he would become so happy and then sad once they walked away. I had fallen I love with him I look forward to see him every time I went because he was always there. One day I came in and his kennel said urgent, his adoption fee had been waved (lowered) and this was his last day to find a home at the end of the day no luck. I was sad and only have $40 in my pocket and the adoption fee was $85 but I ran over to the kennel and pulled him out and they let me take him home because I loved him so much... I kept him because I felt no one could love him as much as me....
