Amber was a sweet golden retriever mix. She loves to steal slippers all the time and I would have to fight to get them back. Her story was a sad one but it didn't hold her back from enjoying life. She was found on a clear summer day when a Humane Society was busting a puppy mill. She was found unhealthy in the kennel with her nine siblings. She was one of two girls and she was the cutest thing. I got a call from the Humane Society since I was a foster and she was not in good health and they needed somebody to take care of her. I agreed of course since I had no rescue dogs at the time and only had my dog Sasha. She had her front leg missing due to neglect since she was in a cage most of her little life on earth. Shed be the dog that would give you one million kisses a day and would never think about the past and just be set on loving you. It's took her about three months to get over her illness and to help her learn to walk again because we had to amputate her front leg. I fell in love with her, I knew I couldn't keep her at the time because I lived in an apartment and it didn't have enough room for two dogs. So I waited until the Humane Society found her a perfect home. They interviewed, background checked and looked at the best possible homes for her. They found a lovely family in the area with two kids that were just looking for a buddy and that's what I thought she needed. I met the family and they fell in love just meeting her for the first time. I knew she would be in good hands and I gave the Humane Society the right to put her into that family Because I also had a choice to decide if they were a good home because I knew that dog better than the Humane Society. The family still has her to this day and sends me recent updates and photos. She's a very happy girl and nothing hold her back even missing a leg. She loves her human siblings and is just enjoying life.I know this wasn't really a rescue story on my part. But I'm glad I got to help out to find her a perfect home and make her all healthy again.

I'm so sorry guys I have an updated you recently. I've been really busy and I haven't been able to write. I have way more rescue dog stories and I'm hoping to upload them soon.
