Cassie was a West Highland Terrier Chihuahua mix, She was sweet, loving, and just loved to be pet. She was the sweetest thing but her rough past gave her many troubles in life. Cassie had been rescued from a puppy mill where she was bred and gave birth to puppies after puppies. She was starved and missing fur, she truly looked like a rat. She was kept in a cage her whole life very tiny cage. We got there she had given birth to four little puppies. She didn't look healthy I lifted her out of the cage and put her in my arms and give her a kiss on the head saying "OK baby it's all over now don't worry." We then drove four hours back home and brought them to a vet to get vaccinated and well cared for... There were about 306 dogs at this puppy mill this wasn't a huge puppy mill but it was still horrible. All the dogs went into rehab to get used to people's touch and love. After the weeks went by all her puppies got adopted and most of the other dogs had already been adopted or waiting to be taken to their forever homes outside of the country or in the country. But nobody wanted Cassie because her fur had not grown back. I went to visit her every day and fell in love with her it's nobody else was going to take her because her fur may never grow back in every single place than I would take. I fell in love with her every day I had her. She only lived a few months after that due to having cancer and died in my arms at the vets office, I know she didn't get the best life but those few months that I had her she was the happiest I had ever seen her or seen any dog.
