Maya was a sweet little fluffy Chihuahua looking dog. She was tiny and cute as can be, she was always a sweet and loving girl. I found her on the street in the middle of a storm. I had seen her driving my car and stopped in a parking lot to go find her. I found her eating a little piece of meat right in front of an alleyway and she got scared and bolted in between a big garbage can and kind of got stuck. So I had to try and get her out of the place she was stuck in and I did. Once I had got her out I held her close because she was squirming and she was scared. I drove home and gave her a bath and she was covered in fleas. I called the humane society because I didn't know if there was any puppies left there because she was very young but it turned out there wasn't thankfully. I loved her so much she was extremely shy though so I had to find her a home with people without kids. I found her a lovely young women who was alone in the city and needed a companion and she worked out great for her. She is now five years old and still with the same person and her owner has recently gotten married and she is getting over her extreme shyness and her fear of children. Her owners are hopeful she will get over her fear of children because they want children in the future but we will have to wait and see. I get updates on her well being every year from her family and she is enjoying life.
