Murry was a mix breed dog, he was such a sweet soul... rescued from a unfortunate place. He was rescued from a back yard breeder who would breed mutts and then sell them for $50 or more whatever she could get. I was working in a rescue group at the time and they told me they needed help rescuing some back yard breeders dogs that needed rescuing. We rescued about 100 dogs that day and I found a kennel in the far back of the yard with three puppies in it. The mother had sadly deceased due to malnutrition and she had left three beautiful puppies. I reached in and took them out and carried them to the van that I owned and when we went back to the rescue I fostered all three of them. Murry was not fluffy like the rest of his siblings but it sure grew in once he grew older. My mother fell in love with his sister and name her Heather and adopted her. My friend adopted the other brother of Murry's and named him Pluto. The three still have puppy dates together and get to see each other once a month and they are still very close. I decided to keep Murry because I loved him and he had anxiety and grew close to me. I am still grateful to this dog to this day because he protected my house from intruders one night while I was home. He passed away at the age of ten due to tumors in his body due to cancer. He was dearly loved by all and I do miss him...

QOTWA: Well, since I have already rescued dogs before... I will answer it with when I was a child... Even when I was a kid I had a passion for animals and loved them dearly and have always wanted to rescue them.
