"Lesso what was so urgent that you had to..." Dovey exclaimed, annoyance present in her voice, before stopping herself to take in the scene before her. The redhead sat on a chair next to her bed, holding your hand. Lady Lesso hadn't taken her eyes off you when Clarissa arrived at her room, solely focused on you. "Lesso what happened to her." "She was in my class, I had the students go around and show their special "gifts" to each other and Y/N and Hester were the last two." Lesso explained, her face falling into her hands. "I had them duel to show their talents and Y/N didn't know what her's were and Hester was relentless. I tried to get her to stop, but it was only after she passed out from the pain that Hester finally stopped. God Dovey this is all my fault I can't believe I was this stupid." Dovey looked at her colleague intently, trying to figure out why this was affecting her so much, having her suspicions. "Lesso I'm sure it was an accident, she will be okay." Dovey said, trying to console the redhead in front of her. "Now let me see what I can do to help her, okay?" Lesso only nodded, stepping away from you allowing Clarissa to assess the injuries.

After a few minutes Lesso stepped into the hallway, closing the door to her room quietly so as to not disturb the Dean of Good. With her back to the cold stone wall, her body slowly sunk to the ground, knees pulled to her chest as tears fell from her eyes. She knew that you wouldn't be the same after this, but she hoped that you wouldn't hate her. That is one thing that she wouldn't be able to live with. If you hated her, she would hate herself for it. She knew that she should've chosen a different way to draw out your powers, and the guilt was eating at her. Lady Lesso was so caught up in her thoughts that she didn't hear the door open of Dovey calling her name.

When Dovey opened the door to call for the evil dean, she was surprised at the sight before her. Lesso's hair was messier than usual, the sleeves of her white button up rolled up with some blood on each of them. The dean herself was sitting with her back to the wall of the corridor, legs against her chest, hands tightly gripping her hair at the root. The sight surely broke Clarissa's heart a bit, seeing the coldhearted woman she knew, so distraught over a student of hers, made her wonder if there were more feelings involved, but decided not to pry at the moment. "Lesso, you can come back in now." She spoke softly. Nodding as she pulled herself together both deans made it back into the room, Lesso taking her place in the chair next to the bed. "So how is she?" Lesso asked quietly. "I healed a good amount of her burns. Some of them will need to be checked regularly to make sure there is no risk for infection. The cuts on her face were pretty deep, I healed them but she will have scars." Lesso nodded at turning her attention back to you. "Leonora, these things happen, she is going to be okay." "I know, but this is my fault, I caused this. She didn't need anything else to happen to her." She said, sighing.

Opening your eyes, you try to focus your gaze as you look around the room. Next to you is Lady Lesso and Professor Dovey. "Hi." You said your voice hoarse from the screaming. Lesso turned her attention from Dovey to you, a smile forming on her lips. "Hi darling, how are you feeling?" She asked, helping you sit up against the headboard of her bed. "I'm alright, thank you." You say quietly, nervous about the presence of the other, unknown woman in the room. Lesso just smiled, happy that you were now awake. "Lesso, I have to go back to my school quickly, but I would like to talk when I get back." The older woman nodded at her colleague before she left.

"I'm so sorry darling, I never meant for any of this to happen." "It's alright Lesso, I'll be okay." You tell her, taking her hand. "Sure I'll be a bit more on edge with my roommates but I'll be fine." "Y/N, are you sure you want to go back there? I don't think it's safe." Lesso say's, in a serious but soft tone. "I don't know where I'll go." "There are other rooms, we can figure something out, you don't have to worry about that right now." You nod your head, still feeling a bit drained. "You should get some sleep, little one your body needs it." Lesso says, her hand caressing your cheek. You lean into her touch slightly, her hands, soft and warm. "Will you stay, please?" You ask the redhead. She nods her head agreeing. You move a bit to make room for her on the bed, she takes her place next to you, pulling you close to her. Your head lays on her chest and arms wrap around her waist. You take a deep breath, relaxing as you let sleep take over. Lady Lesso wrapped one arm around your waist keeping you close to her, the other caressing your hair as she kissed your head. "Sleep now little one, I'll be here to keep you safe."

A soft knock is heard at the door and Lady Lesso uses her magic to open the door quietly, letting Clarissa back into the room. The redhead is solely focused on you, and the sight makes Dovey's heart swell. Smiling, she makes her way to the chair that had been previously occupied by Lesso and sits down. Turning her attention away from you and to the Dean of Good, she had a content smile on her face. "Is she the one?" Dovey asks. "I think she may be, the connection I feel with her is nothing I have ever felt before." Lesso responds looking back at you. "I had a feeling that she might be." "How?" Lady Lesso asks. "Your connection with her is something that is not often seen even with Evers. It's a connection only soulmates have."
