A few weeks had gone by since your first interaction with Rafal. You started seeing less and less of Sophie, her hair had changed along with her personality as a whole. She was meaner than she had been when she had first arrived. Lesso started acting less loving towards you and taking more time to teach Sophie. You felt like you never saw Leonora anymore and because of that you started staying in your dorm room more often, instead of sleeping in Nora:s room. You weren't sure what exactly had changed in Lesso, but you knew that Rafal must have some part in all of it.
A few more days had gone by and you hadn't spoken or interacted with Lesso for the past four days. She was "busy" but you knew that the time she wasn't spreading with you she was spending with Sophie. You were getting fed up with her not talking to you, so you planned to talk with her after her class. You made your way to her classroom, taking a seat in your normal seat. Lesso was still working with Sophie, not bothering to acknowledge you when you entered the room. You zoned out, you had around fifteen minutes till class started. Your brain went through all the different scenarios about why Lesso was ignoring you. You continued thinking when a wave of dizziness hit you out of nowhere. You attempted to stand up immediately needing to grab onto your desk for support. It was this action that finally managed to get Lesso's attention. She silently watched you, wondering what had come over you. You started walking to the door of the classroom when Lesso spoke to you. "Miss L/N, class starts now, where do you think you are going?" there was a bite to her words you cringed at. "I just need to get water, Lady Lesso." You respond. "You walk out of this classroom you will automatically fail today's assessment." She said, smirking to herself when she saw you stop and move back to your seat, albeit unsteadily.
Class was uneventful, the dizziness making it harder for you to concentrate on Lady Lesso's lecture. You were now being paired with another student, the assessment being, using your powers to make the other surrender. Lesso explained that you could do that anyway you like, it didn't matter as long as one of the two would fall. Of course she decided to pair you with Sophie, you knew that Lesso had been tutoring her on her powers since she had gotten her finger glow. You on the other hand still had no clue what your powers were but you needed to think fast if you were going to win this.
You and Sophie were the last to go, making your way to the middle of the room. Sophie started off strong attacking with different spells causing you to duck and move around, trying to avoid getting hit. This went on for a few minutes. The dizziness didn't make it any better, you were swerving and ramming into desks and hitting walls feeling your head go heavy. You don't know what happened after you blacked out but you remember the screams. Students shouting, Lesso trying to talk to you, no yelling at you, then everything stopped. You felt cold, like it was the middle of winter, but you were in the classroom and it was the middle of spring. You felt your mind drifting as your consciousness finally slipped away completely.
