This is a short chapter because I'm tired

Waking up the next morning, you open your eyes to see Lesso still asleep. She looks peaceful when she's asleep, relaxed. You continue to memorize her face, before she startles you. "You know, in some places staring is considered rude, little one." She says, her voice deep and raspy. "I wasn't staring, I was admiring. There's a difference you know." You tell her, countering her argument with yours. "Mmm, sure whatever, let's sleep a bit longer. We don't have anything to do today." You nod as you turn over in bed, letting yourself relax. Lesso's arm wraps around your waist, pulling your back flush against her front. You intertwine your hand with the one around your waist, allowing sleep to take over once again.

A knock at the door pulls Lady Lesso from her peaceful sleep, groaning quietly, she unlocks the door with magic. Sensing that it was Dovey, the Dean of Good walks into the room shutting the door. "Lesso I have been trying..." She is cut off by a glare from Lesso, causing a questioning expression to make itself known. Lesso says nothing, but gestures to the bed. Dovey now see's you curled up into Lesso's side, asleep. "I'm sorry I didn't know that she was asleep, let alone in your room."

"She had a night terror, her screams are what had woken me up. When I arrived in her room she was thrashing in her bed, crying. I tried to wake her, but it took a while. When she did finally wake up, she curled up into a ball and started sobbing." The Dean of Evil explains to her good counterpart. "What happened after that?" "She dove into my arms and cried. I let her calm down and told her that she should try and get some sleep, but she denied that she was tired."

Dovey looked at Lesso with sadness in her eyes, nodding to signal her to continue. "I can tell she is afraid to sleep, her mind can be a terrifying place sometimes. The things that her family has done and what she has done to herself are unimaginable. She has had these night terrors for years, and hasn't slept more than three hours per night because of them." The ginger said, voice raised slightly, taking a deep breath to calm herself.

You had started to stir as Dovey and Lesso continued to talk. You didn't wake up but moved so your head was now resting on the redhead's chest. Gently Lesso wrapped her arms around you, and kissed your head. Dovey silently watched in adoration. Lady Lesso was not known to be soft towards anyone, but seeing the way that she interacted with you made Dovey's heart swell. "You're good for her, you know." Dovey spoke, breaking the silence. Lesso smiled softly, looking at your sleeping form.

"She deserves to feel safe, and if I can give her that, then I will be the happiest woman alive. She has been through so much, and when she tries to avoid or repress her feelings I can tell." "You have done a great job with her, Leonora." The blonde admits. "I know, but there are still some things that she needs help with, and those require a lot of patience and personal awareness on both our parts. As hard as it may be for her, and as much as she tried to push her away. I will stay by her side."
