Y/n POV
Today was Friday, a day I always look forward to. Yes, it is the final day of school before the weekend, but I didn't mind school as much as others. So, that isn't the reason why I look forward for today. The reason I look forward to Fridays is what comes after we get off of school: movie night with my best friend.Every week, since we first became friends, we would go to his house after school on Fridays to watch a movie, and, since then, it became our little tradition. Although, I'm kind of surprised we managed to keep the tradition alive after Scott's transformation, Allison's arrival, and, later, Void's arrival. Plus, I'm surprised he's still willing to do it after everything that happened to him with Void. Regardless, with these thoughts aside, I skip over to his locker after our last class of the day ended and hugged his torso the moment I was in range.
"You seem in a good mood," Stiles observed, looking down at me.
"Mhm," I say. "Today's Friday."
"And what's so special about Fridays?"
"Our movie night.""I don't think our movie nights are THAT special," Stiles says in a playful tone.
In response, I pull away from the hug and playfully shove his shoulder, earning a bright smile from him.
"Hey, uhh, about movie night," Stiles begins with.
"Yes?" I give him the okay to continue.
"Is it alright if the pack comes over, too?"
After hearing these words, my smile started to falter and knives felt like they were stabbing into my heart. Fridays were the one night I got to spend quality time with Stiles. Not only that, but it is the one night I got to be close with him, which feeds my feelings for him, and he thought it would be a good idea to invite the pack over.
I wanted to say no. God, I REALLY wanted to say no. But, those weren't the words that came out of my mouth.
"Sure. They can join," were the words I said.
"Awesome," he replies with.
After that, we headed out the school doors and got into Stiles' Jeep.
The jeep ride to his house was oddly silent. I don't know why, but I couldn't bring myself to speak. This went on for awhile, too, because I barely spoke during the ride, when I was walking into his house and started to prep the snacks in the kitchen, and when multiple pack members started flooding into Stiles' house.
Upon the pack's arrival, they started to sit down on the couch and figure out what they wanted to watch as I stood in the kitchen, lazily eating the snacks we prepared. I already knew there was no point saying what I wanted to watch, which was shitty because today was my day to pick the movie, since I wanted to watch "My Bloody Valentine." The newer, more recent version with Jensen Ackles.
Yet, there was no way anyone would want to watch that because I'm the only one who really watches thriller/horror/slasher films. Yes, the other genres are good, too, all of them except romantic movies. I will only watch a romantic movie if an actor/actress I adore is in it.
Ironically enough, though, the genre that the others settled on was in fact a romantic one. Somehow, Lydia convinced the others to watch "The Notebook." I can already tell how much fun this is going to be.
Without another word, I grabbed the bowl of popcorn I was eating out of, and made my way towards the couch to have my spot beside Stiles. Only, when I reached the couch, I saw Malia already sitting there. So, I settled on the floor next to Liam.
Then, the movie was turned on, and the images before me started to blur as tears silently ran down my face. It hurts so much how this day was turning out. First the pack, now Malia. God, I'm a fucking idiot to believe there was a chance with Stiles and I. But, why did it have to hurt so much?
