Touch starved. The longing for any form of touch or physical contact due to the lack of it for prolonged amounts of time. The feeling of wanting to hold someone's hand, to hug someone, to mess with someone's hair, to lay on someone's shoulder, to cuddle up in someone's arms just because you can. Everything that y/n has, but is too afraid to act on anything.

It wasn't easy for them to be physically open like that because they feared they would be 'too clingy' or 'too touchy' or whatever. So, they restricted themselves of that part of them around their friends. However, it began to get harder to suppress that part whenever Scott and Allison would openly show affection around them and the others. Sometimes, they would get too close and too comfortable with Stiles, or Lydia, or Isaac, and would immediately catch themselves before they actually came in contact with one another.

Luckily, Stiles and Lydia did not have werewolf senses to sense the quickening pace of their heart every time it happened with them. Unluckily, Isaac did, and it would be a matter of time until he catches on, especially since it mostly happened when they were around him.

At first, y/n thought Isaac was dumb or didn't seem to care to notice whenever they would be oddly close to each other whenever they would be sitting or walking beside each other. That was until Isaac pulled an unexpected move one day while they were sitting on the couch, tuning into today's pack meeting.

Truth be told, Isaac was always tapped into his werewolf senses whenever he was around them, and he always felt that longing for something he shortly figured out was the longing for physical affection every time they would look at Scott and Allison getting close and personal. Plus, he always felt whenever y/n's hand would brush up against his, and always saw how they would drift off and lean against his shoulder whenever they were relaxed or tired. He never minded it. He honestly wished they wouldn't back away the moment they realized what they were doing because he, as well, was touch starved just like they were.

During the pack meeting, y/n started to drift off to sleep. Their head was slowly moving towards Isaac's shoulder, until they immediately caught themselves and moved slightly away from the boy they grew to adore.

Isaac, who was already self aware of what was going on, decided to turn his head to y/n and finally say something about the situation at hand.

"You do know I'm okay with you laying your head onto my shoulder," he says.

"You are?" y/n responds, shocked that he noticed.

"Yeah. I mean, why wouldn't I be?"

"Maybe you wouldn't really be opened to the idea of physical touch."

"Seriously? That's why you never held my hand when our fingers would brush up against each other? Or lay your head on my shoulder every time we sat next to each other and you just wanted to relax comfortably?"

Hearing this shocked y/n even more. "Wait, you-"

"I always noticed when those things would happen," Isaac answered their question before they even got it out. "And I always wished you wouldn't back away from the opportunity."

"You're joking, right?"
"Nope."
"You're really comfortable with it?"
"Again. Why wouldn't I be?"

After this unexpected turn of events, y/n seemed to open up more with Isaac as time moved on. In the halls, both of them would be caught holding hands from time-to-time whenever they were heading to their next class. During pack meetings, y/n would fall asleep on Isaac's shoulder or just rest their head there.

At first, it was only a comfort thing for the both of them. Then, it started to turn into something more, something both of them wanted from the very beginning but were too afraid to make a move.

Isaac was the first to break the ice by getting the courage to ask y/n out and, of course, they said yes.

It was a first date out of many more that will showcase their strong love for each other.
