Y/n POV
If someone would've told me one reunion would lead me to where I am today, I don't think I would've believed them. It's too good to be true. Yet, here we are in 2023.

To put into perspective of what's going on, here's a breakdown of events:

In 2017, I reunited with Dylan at Comic-Con, and I ended up helping him through every breakdown, every outburst, every struggle he had with his break up and his accident. Funny thing was, I was able to do this because we actually lived close-by to each other and we had no idea that entire time.

In 2018, our friendship went full swing and we did literally, almost everything together whenever neither of us would be working. So much time missed out on that we wanted to do something about that, especially since he was doing much better with everything that happened last year.

In 2019, we started being mistaken as a couple, and there ended up being multiple accounts of people being fired up about it. Some fans were happy for that Dylan that he found someone that made him happy again, others hated the fact about the thought of him being with me. That's when I started getting hate comments, but so many had Dylan and I's back with the entire thing that I didn't let it get to me too much. On the flip side, there were people saying that it was only just a rumor, so they spent time finding evidence in photos from paparazzi of us to prove whether or not we were actually together. Eventually, the rumor was shut down whenever Dylan confirmed, in multiple interviews, that we were not together. However, this dumbass said that there was 'a possibility in the near future.'

In 2020, Covid happened and we actually ended up quarantining together. Oddly enough, we were just hanging out one day, at his house, whenever the announcement was put out that we should quarantine ourselves. We decided it would be best to stay in the same household, even though it meant I would be constantly wearing his clothes and constantly online shopping for clothing whenever I got the chance to, and I needed something other than baggy clothes that were always too big on me.

In 2021, life got, sort of, back in the swing of things, even with the mask mandate. Well, that was until Dylan and I, both, got Covid roughly around the same time. Despite all odds, we both had minimal symptoms and I didn't even get vaccinated, whereas he did.

In 2022, he asked me to be his plus one for Coachella, and be apart of his 'slut era' concept. Gladly, I agreed, then, one thing led to another, and we kinda.. sorta.. had sex later that night. The next morning, I had it in my head that it was a one night stand, until we sat down and had a long conversation about what just happened, and what it meant for us.

Now, we have been together for a year and eight months, and I couldn't be anymore happier. Plus, whenever we told the public of our status, fans went wild that the couple rumor turned out to be true, yet the rumor happened before we even started dating. And this dumbass turned out to be right.

Currently, I am washing some leftover dishes, from the other night, when my phone rings, and I see Dylan is calling.

"What's up?" I respond after answering the call and putting it on speaker.

"Hey, I'm ordering some food from McDonald's," he says, "do you want anything?"

I thought about it for a moment.

"A large side of fries sounds nice."

"One, large side of fries, coming right up," he declares.

"I'll be waiting," I reply.

"Alright, I'll be there in 12 minutes, then."
"See you 12 minutes from now!"
"See ya."

Hanging up, I quickly finish up the remaining dishes and sit down on the couch, expecting Dylan to walk in the door any minute now.

A couple minutes later, I hear a key being inserted into the lock of my apartment door—we didn't want to move in together yet, it just felt too soon. Shooting my head into that direction, I see the door being opened and Dylan walking through with a bag of food from McDonald's.

I smile brightly at him as he shuts the door, walks over, and sits down on the couch beside me. Reaching into the bag, he pulls out the fries and hands them over my way.

"Here you go," he exclaims as I grab the fries out of his hand. "And I figured you'd want this, as well."

Diving back into the bag, Dylan pulls out a chocolate chip cookie.

I light up at the small gesture, "Thank youuuu. I love youuuu."

I grab the cookie from him, and I start to eat my late night snack.

"I love you, too," Dylan expressed, going back in the bag one more time to get his burger. "So, what are we watching tonight?"

"The third volume of Guardians of the Galaxy is out on Disney+. I've heard Will is in it, so I figured we could watch it and critique his acting in it," I explained.

"Sounds good to me."

As we turn on the movie, I can't help but wonder how life would have been if I never showed up that day at Comic-Con. In my head, I would have strongly regretted not showing up that day because I wouldn't be as happy as I am right now.

"Babe," I hear Dylan say, interrupting me from my thoughts.

"Yeah?" I answer as I lean into his chest, getting comfortable enough to watch the movie.

"Thank you," he randomly expresses. "For everything."

"Where is this coming from?"

"It's coming from a guy who you found beaten down to the ground, on the verge of ending his career, who is now sitting beside the love of his life after, recently, getting back from filming a movie he is starred in."

"If that's the case, don't thank me," I move my head so that I am looking up at him, and saw he was already looking down at me. "Kiss me."

"Kiss you?"

I smile brightly. "Yeah. Kiss me."

He smiled along with me then, leaning down to kiss me, he gives me the most passionate kiss ever. Pulling away, he pulls me into his chest and kisses the top of my head, showing how grateful he is of me.

Likewise, I am beyond grateful for him. Always have, and always will be.
