Y/n POV
Have you ever felt like you are being ignored and neglected by the people you thought you were close to?

Well, this is exactly what I've been feeling ever since starting my freshman year in high school at Beacon Hills. The year everything changed.

Before, it used to be Scott, Stiles, and I. It was always us against the world ever since we met in first grade. But then, Scott got bit by a werewolf and he started hanging out with Allison, the new girl in the town. Allison had ties with Lydia, so now Lydia is with us, too, and finally is noticing Stiles, whom has had a crush on her since third grade. Stiles, the boy I fell for and had to deal with his crush on Lydia, that I was constantly jealous of her.

Ever since Lydia and Allison, I am CONSTANTLY fifth-wheeling now. Constantly being neglected and ignored. What I was feeling right now in Stiles' jeep.

"Why don't we just talk to Derek?" I had asked in midst of the conversation the others were having, and, as always, no response came from anyone. They just kept continuing the conversation like before.. without me in it.

Great. Just my luck.

"Guys, I really think we should just try TALKING to Derek," I tried again with no luck.

Then Lydia chimes in. "Maybe we should just try to talk to Derek."

"Talk to Derek?" Stiles answers. "How do you even talk to a sourwolf like him, though, it's like talking to a brick wall? I think we would have better luck with my plan."

"We are NOT kidnapping him, Stiles," Scott retorts.

This pissed me off. Talking to Derek was MY idea. No one listened, though, they just ignored me like they always do. They rather listen to Lydia fucking Martin, the girl who didn't know her worth because of a fucking dickhead.

As they continued talking, I snapped. "I'm moving!" True statement. "Yeah, that's right, I'm moving. I found out last night that my dad got a promotion for work and we are moving to Outer Banks. We are moving when the school year is done, so, fuck you guys cuz I'm looking forward to not seeing your fucking faces ever again!"

No response, no acknowledgement, but at least I lifted a weight off of my shoulder.

*couple of months later*

Welcome to Outer Banks

I made it. I finally made it out of that hellhole and into beach glory. So, of course, the first thing I decide to do is go out to the beach.

When getting there, I spot a group of kids around my age hanging out near the water. They seemed chill. Maybe they will be nice enough to show me around. So, I walked over to them.

"Uhh.. hi," I awkwardly said when I reached where they were sitting.

They all looked over at me.

I continue. "I just moved here and you guys seemed pretty chill, so I thought I would introduce myself. I'm y/n."

"Well nice to meet you, y/n," a girl with brown hair said, smiling. "I'm Kiara."

You smiled back.

"The boy next to me is Pope, the dark haired boy is John B., and the last one here is JJ," Kiara continues, pointing at each person.

They all waved to me. "Nice meeting you all."

"So where did you move from?" the dark haired boy, whom I've come to know as John B, asked.

"I, uhh, moved from Beacon Hills. A town all the way in California."

"Wow," Kiara muttered under her breath.

"Wanna hang out with us?" the other boy, JJ, asked.
And let me tell ya, he has gorgeous eyes. I can see myself getting lost in his eyes. God, just overall he's gorgeous.

"Sure."

I sat down with them and we ended up talking for HOURS. In that time, I learned about the island, where they usually hang, how they are the pogues, and about the kooks that live as the higher class.

I had a feeling that this is going to be a good, fresh start to my life.
