''Hello princess.''

It should be known that the first time Mr. Otto Gold called Hazel princess she thoroughly interrogated him. Only to find out he knew nothing and was just as clueless as the rest of Storybrooke.

''Hello mr gold.'' Hazels hand dragged along the counter collecting dust as she got closer to him. ''did you find it yet?''

''No. Im sorry little lady, the moment I do I know where to find you.'' Mr. Gold assured.

Hazel was looking for a necklace made of valeryian steel. She thought if she found it, she could present it to her mother and all the memories would come flooding back to her. Like Voilà! Necklace, memories, save the day!

"You promise?" Hazel asked pointing a finger at Mr. Gold.

"I promise." Mr. Otto Gold agreed. She would just have to go to Boston without it and hope Davina believed her. She tucked her story book under her arm and headed out.

Hazel read and reread the book over and over again. She knew it by heart but still she poured over the words. The song of Ice and Fire.

''Is that a good book?'' Hazel glanced over at the woman across the way on the greyhound bus.

''This.'' Hazel clutched it closer to herself. ''Is not just a book.'' Hazel told her very seriously.

''Alright,'' the woman said with a chuckle leaning back in her seat.

Davina arrived home to her apartment, kicked off her high heels and made her way to the kitchen. She opened a box with a carrot cake cupcake inside. She put a single, star-shaped candle on top and lit it. She leaned on the counter and stared at it a moment longer as it burned. She waved her hand over the flame before whispering.

''Another fucking year.'' Davina closed her eyes, made a wish, and blew out the candle. Not even a moment passed when her doorbell rang. Davina looked from her cupcake to the door and back to the cupcake as the bell dinged again.

She sighed as she walked, she wanted to eat her cupcake, drink some wine and watch something bloody and gory but also had humor, that hopefully had a handsome man walking through a blazing fire to save the day. She answered the door, only to find a little girl, Hazel staring up at her.

''Uh? Can I help you?''

''Are you Davina Tate?" Hazel asked hopefully. She was beautiful, tall, strong, she was everything Hazel hoped to be one day.

''Yeah." Davina answered slowly. ''Who are you?''

''My name's Hazel. I'm your daughter." Hazel said as she pushed past Davina and into the apartment.

" Whoa! Hey, kid! Kid! Kid! I don't have a daughter! Where are your parents?" Davina declared following Hazel in.

''Ten years ago. Did you give up a baby for adoption?" Hazel asked and Davina faltered. "That was me." Hazel told her confidently. Davina stared at Hazel a moment longer, taking it in. This was her daughter, living breathing, standing in her kitchen. Davina held up a hand before taking a step back.

"...Give me a minute." Davina said heading to the bathroom to compose herself. The door slammed shut as Hazel made herself at home.

"Hey, you have any juice?" Hazel asked from outside the door as she pulled open the fridge. ''Never mind, found some.'' Hazel called back. Davina let out a shaky breath as she headed back to the kitchen. Davina looked to Hazel drinking juice straight from the bottle.

''You know, we should probably get going." Hazel said nonchalantly.

''Going where?" Davina countered

''I want you to come home with me." Hazel told her happily.

"No. Not happening." Davina told her. "You are going back."

''Dont send me back alone.'' Hazel begged ''please! You need to save storybrooke... its gonna sound messed up but I think im in love with my half brother.'' Hazel told her.

"What?"

"You left, you were gone being stupid and falling for the wrong man and he didnt think he would see you again." Hazel told her. "But if you think about it, you were in love with your brother as well, so I suppose it runs in my genes." Hazel told her.

"What? I don't have a brother." Davina corrected.

"Of course you dont remember it is part of the curse!" Hazel declared.

''Kid you're tripping''

''I'm not.'' She pulled out the book and dropped it on the table before them

''A song of ice and fire...' Davina read. ''You believe in fairytales and came all this way...' Hazel opened the book and pointed at an illustration of Harwin Strong.

"Do you recognize him?" Davina stared at the picture, something about him did seem familiar. "Or him!"

"Prince Daemon Targaryen..." Davina read. "No kid I don't know any princes."

"You are a princess. The rightful heir, I know it."

"Heir to what?" Davina countered.

"The iron throne!" Hazel declared. "My evil step mother rules in your brothers stead."

"Wait, you think i'm in love with my brother and your mother married him?" Davina asked very confused.

"Different brother!" Hazel declared. "But you sailed overseas, the narrow sea, you did that because-"

"Kid, stop." Davina begged.

"NO!" Hazel declared. "You don't understand. You are meant to be the savior, Princess Rhaenyra can never hold the crown, she isnt strong enough." Hazel told her. "Come back with me, I will show you!"

''Okay, kid. I'm calling the cops." Davina remarked.

''Then I'll tell them you kidnapped me.' Hazel told her confidently.

''And they'll believe you..." Davina breathed out putting down the phone. ''because I'm your birth mother.''

''Ye-p!" Hazel declared smirking as she spoke.

''You're not going to do that though." Davina remarked.

''Try me.'' Hazel challenged. Davina stared back at Hazel, she certainly had that dramatic flare.

''You're pretty good. But here's the thing – there's not a lot I'm great at in life. I have one skill. Let's call it a superpower." Davina remarked. ''I can tell when anyone is lying and you, kid, are.'' Davina said picking back up the phone and Hazel reached out a pathetic hand to stop her.

''Wait..." Hazel begged a pout on her face. ''Please don't call the cops. Please, come home with me.''

''Where's home?''

''Storybrooke, Maine.''

''Storybrooke? Seriously?'' Davina countered

''Mmhmm.'' Hazel agreed.

''Alrighty, then. Let's get you back to Storybrooke.''
