The next day, Nyra Taegan was eating breakfast when she noticed that the clock was working again. Davina looked out the window in her room at the inn, saw the same thing. Victor was walking his dog, Mr. Otto Gold was walking to his pawn shop and Aemond was putting out the sign for Granny's Diner when they all noticed the same thing. It made them all pause, thinking back for as long as they lived here, they had never seen that clocktower move.

Alicent was reading Hazel's book, gibberish, she thought, kings and queens. She supposedly married an old man and was used as a broodmare giving him heirs. She flipped through scanning the nonsense when she noticed that the end pages were torn out. Alicent let out a huff as she moved to Hazel already slipping on her shoes for the day.

''The missing pages," Alicent demanded "where are they?" Hazel glanced back up at her innocently.

"It's an old book. Stuff's missing." Hazel remarked calmly. "Why do you care?"

"I care because you think I'm some evil queen. And that hurts me, Hazel." Alicent remarked. "I'm your mother."

"No," Hazel corrected factually. "you're not."

"Well, then who is? That woman you brought here? I don't like what she and this book are doing to you. Thankfully, both are no longer an issue." Alicent spat back but Hazel smirked up at her. "What?" Alicent hissed as the tower chimed in the distance. Alicent stared out the window and Hazel used her distraction to run out the door.

"LUKE!" Hazel declared rushing past Jace and their foster dad, Lenny. "DID YOU SEE IT!"

"See what?" Luke countered as he ate his breakfast.

"YOU DIDN'T SEE IT? HOW COULD YOU NOT SEE IT!" Hazel declared as she grabbed his hand pulling him from his seat.

"I wasn't done." Luke grumbled sticking another spoonful of cereal in his mouth before ramming on his shoes as she tugged him outside.

"LOOK!" Hazel declared.

"It's a clocktower, been there out whole lives." Luke countered. "It's cold, can I finish my breakfast?"

"No, look you dummy!" Hazel demanded.

"Hey, what do you know, it's working." Luke remarked and Hazel slapped a hand to her face.

"You would be lost without me." Hazel remarked.

"I would." Luke agreed and Hazel giggled as he gave her hand a tug pulling her back inside. "Hey, do you think your evil mom would let you sleep over this weekend, I got Syrax."

"Luke." Lenny warned.

"Hazel calls her that." Luke countered.

"Hazel... is Hazel." Lenny offered.

"Is he insulting me?" Hazel questioned innocently as she grabbed a bowl and piled on the coco puffs and lucky charms, picking all the charms out and sorting them.

"Where were you yesterday?" Luke asked as Hazel sniffed the milk.

"What is this?" Hazel asked.

"Oat milk." Lenny informed her and Hazel stared back at him. "Healthy."

"You buy sugary cereal and healthy milk and think that evens it out?" Hazel countered.

"Eat your crack cereal." Lenny instructed. "And don't tell your mother."

"Never do!" Hazel agreed.

"Jace will you-" Lenny began as he got up, needing to get to work.

"I will keep on eye on troubles one and two." Jace agreed.
