"What do we do?"
"I don't know hazel decides. Shes the alpha ."
"Huh, what does that make us?" Jace questioned
"We could be betas. They're second in charge." Luke suggested
"Okay, that sounds good." Jace agreed. Lenny chuckled from the couch. Those boys were lost without hazel.
"Or we could be omegas. They get pushed around by the alphas and the betas." Luke countered
"Okay, that sounds like us." Jace confirmed
"Whatever. There's no alphas here, since hazel isnt here yet. . You are the oldest. You're in charge. How do you want to start? What do you want to do?"
Neither remembered a time before hazel came into their lives and started lovingly bossing them around.
"Hey fam!" Hazel declared strutting in
"Oh thank God." Jace agreed as luke ran to take her jacket
"What a gentleman!" Hazel cooed kissing his cheek. "Come on lets go play upstairs." She grabbed his hand pulling him to his room. He set up the play station as she got the bean bags into position. "Jake make snacks!" She called down. "And bring juice boxes!" She added
"Yes hazel!" Jace called back. Lenny laughed moving to jace
"Alpha you are." Lenny agreed.
"It is just easier being told what to do."
"You know your book..."
"Yeah i know my book". Hazel confirmed
"I read some of it and its dark. " luke added handing off the controller.
"Yeah. Cool right?"
"It doesnt sound like a place i want to live. It sounds scary." Luke countered. Hazel thought on that. "I mean here, we get along with everyone-"
"But ms nyra is your mother and shes not happy here. And-"
"My father dies in your story. I dont want to lose him ever." Luke countered. "Hes a live and well here. Hes not in the book. And what about you. If it is all true then you dont belong in the story hazel. You were born here."
"But im part targaryen. I do belong in both i think i could travel there to just like how i could leave and you all can't." Hazel countered plopping down on the bean bag. He sat down beside her.
"What if this home now and there is no westeros to go back to?" Luke questioned softly
"I dont want to believe that." Hazel answered.
"But its scary there."
"And everyone is brainwashed here." Hazel countered. "Thats really weird right? I dont even know how she did it. How davina came back to life alone and abandoned..."
"She left you too." Luke whispered
"To give me my best chance. She told me that a few times and i believe her." Hazel assured.
"Whats my fate in the story?"
"Ends at driftmark. I have been looking for a volume two but maybe it doesnt exist." Hazel shrugged. "It would be nice to know what we are going back to."
"How do you plan on getting us back? A magic portal? A spell? A-"
"Im still working on it. Dont rush me honey." Hazel suggested as jace came in with snacks. "Took you long enough. Come on. We are losing daylight."
