"You sure we can be out in the open?"
" Enough sneaking around. If your mom has a problem with me walking you to a school bus, I am more than happy to have that chat." Davina answered. Jace walked ahead of them. Luke held hazels hand as they walked
" You're brave. We'll need that for Operation carrot cake. Speaking of – do you think we need code names?"
"Isn't 'carrot cake' our code name?"
" That's the mission. I mean us. I need something to call you. I call luke my boyfriend." She cooed
"And my girlfriend." Luke answered kissing her cheek
"Oh. Um, well, why don't you just call me Davina for now?"
"Okay. Well then, I'll see you later," hazel winked "davina." Luke gestured for hazel to go first as the bus doors opened. "Such a gentleman!" Davina was glad hazelw as gone when the sirens went off
"What's with the siren?" Davina sassed as criston pulled up
" It's so hard to get your attention." He answered. He knew alicent would hate it but he was falling for davina. It was impossible not to. He liked a challenge and she certainly was a challenge.
"Well, you got it. Are you arresting me... again?"
" I'm thanking you. For your help finding that coma patient. We all owe you a depth of gratitude." Criston corrected.
"Well, what do I get? Accommodation? Key to the city? You not being alicents bitch?" Davina pondered
"How about a job? I could use a deputy." Criston suggested
"Thank you, but I have a job."
"As a bail bondsperson? There's not much of that going on here." Criston noted. She supposed he was right but she was doing his job better than him.
"I don't see a lot of sheriffing going on around here, either." She sassed back. A smile curved his lips
" Well, here's your chance to see it up close. There's dental... Why don't you think about it? And stay a while." Criston practically begged
"So whats the real world like?" Aemond questioned getting davina her drink.
"Real world? You never leave storybrook?" Davina questioned recalling what hazel had said about them not being able to leave.
"Thought about it. To many times to count. Granny needs me."
" you are a good grandson."
"How was your walk with hazel? That's right – I know everything. But relax. I don't mind." Alicent said sitting down across from davina. Aemond was quick to become scarce
"You don't?" Davina lifted her drink casually to her lips
"No. Because you no longer worry me, Miss Tate. You see, I did a little digging into who you are. And what I found out was quite soothing. It all comes down to the number seven."
" Seven?"
"It's the number of addresses you've had in the last decade. Your longest in anywhere was two years. Really, what did you enjoy so much about Tallahassee?"
Seamus Seaworth.
" If you were wondering, I did find a place here in town." Davina countered.
" I know. With Miss Taegan. How long is your lease? Oh, wait. You don't have one. You see my point? In order for something to grow, Miss Tate, it needs roots. And you? Don't have any. People don't change. They only fool themselves into believing they can." Alicent leaned forward completely smug
"You don't know me." Davina warned
"No, I think I do. All I ask, is as you carry on your transient life, you think of hazel and what's best for her. Perhaps consider a clean break. It's going to happen anyway. Enjoy your cocoa."
"Luke-"
"Ms Hightower."
"I was thinking, what if we had a sleepover at the castle?"
"In the dark?" Luke questioned eyes wide
"We sleep in the dark." She agreed
"But thats out in the elements." Luke countered
"Scared of a little camping?"
"You going to hold my hand?" Luke questioned
"Always." Hazel confirmed.
"Last night, I felt contractions and the doctor said that the baby could come any day now." Helan whispered when davina stunbled upon her in the laundry room.
"Well, that's great." Davina saw a lot of herself in the girl.
"It's just that, um, when the... When the baby comes, no one thinks that I can do this. No one thinks I can do anything. Maybe they're right." Helan whispered
"Screw 'em."
"What?" Helan whispered.
"Screw them. How old are you?"
"Nineteen."
" I was eighteen."
"When... When you had a kid?"
" Yeah. I know what it's like. Everyone loves to tell you what you can and can't do, especially with a kid. But ultimately, whatever you're considering doing or giving up, the choice is yours."
"It's not exactly what you might think it is." Helan whispered.
"It never is. People are going to tell you who you are your whole life. You just got to punch back and say, 'no, this is who I am.' You want people to look at you differently? Make them. If you want to change things, you're going to have to go out there and change them yourself, because there are no fairy godmothers in this world."
"Bipity bopity-"
"Luke!" Hazel laughed out as she jumped down from the monkey bars on the playground at recess. "Do a real spell!"
"A real fake spell?" Luke countered.
"Yeah."
"Ava-"
"You are trying to fake kill me, luke!"
He chuckled dropping the stick he was using as a wand.
"What spell would you have done?"
"A counter curse apparently." Hazel sassed.
"Helan What are you doing?" Otto questioned
"Changing my life." Helan declared.
