Hiroto was going on a walk around the village when he stopped and stared at the rooftop of a grocery store. "You can come out now." He huffed softly as a an anbu appeared in front of him.
"The Hokage wishes to speak with you."
"Hai." Hiroto disappeared along with the messenger.->
"You wanted to see me sir?" The door closed with a click. "Ahh yes, come in, have a seat." Hiru-sama began. "Alright." An Anbu popped into the room holding a stool. Hiroto waved him off by sitting on the floor (crisscross applesauce/indian style). The ninja simply tsk'd and left."Do you know of the Shuyo clan?" The Hokage asked getting straight to the point. "No. Wait, I have a clan?" Hitoto asked a sea green question-mark popping above his head. "Yes, but" The elder frowned. "we don't know much about them except because they were a small clan that kept to themselves. They called themselves Homra. Said to be a nomadic clan up around two centuries ago. They took shelter somewhere in the land of lightning before the second ninja war started." Many ideas spiraled into Hiroto's mind almost immediately after the third stopped talking, but only one made sense: his family paid for the safety that Kumogakure offered by fighting for the village, probably around the same time he was being born. His father most likely died in battle along with any grandparents he had and if his mother hadn't died in battle after his birth, his mother was probably unstable. He also had a couple theory on why he didn't have any siblings too, but there wasn't enough evidence to prove those theories.) "He -along with the rest of the Shuyo clan- had a birthmark similar to the one you have." Hiroto put a hand over his collarbone. "So does this mean I'm like," He paused recalling how people talked about Sasuke. "the last living Shuyo or something?" The sad look in the professors eyes did not go unseen. "Hai. I don't know the whole story, but it was said that the Shuyo clan was wiped out completely during the 3rd ninja war." Hitoto nodded silently urging him to continue. "As far as I can remember the Shuyo were a small clan. Marriages rarely happen outside of the clan." Despite knowing that marriage within clans were a common thing, Hitoto just couldn't imagine having an intimate relationship with a family member. "Okay; so why exactly did they have a lot of people after their heads?" The third grabbed a handful of papers from the piles on his his desk. "We're getting to that." Hiroto respectfully closed his eyes for second, but only so the old man didn't see him roll his eyes. "A Kekkei-Genkai." Hiroto perked up at the mention of a blood limit. "Rumor has it that the Shuyo were killed because of their kekkei-genkai, which was the ability to control natural elements though if my memory serves me right they mostly stuck to fire and lightning techniques to keep it normal. Normal being that most ninja have two prominent elements they use in battle. Either way, many people either wanted that power for themselves or believed that it shouldn't exist, so we can safely assume that their blood was one of the many targets during the war."
He picked up his pen."That's about all I know." Hitoto nodded his head slowly, still processing the information while the third got to work on his mountain of paperwork.
"It makes since if they were so powerful. No wonder nobody in Kumo⚡️spoke of my clan." Hitoto let out an irritated huff. "They probably wanted me grow up and die as a civilian child. Save them trouble." The eighteen year old sighed and stared at the ceiling in thought before speaking again. "You know I had now clue what chakra was until this last year. My style of fighting is really plain Taijutsu; or whatever you call it, give or take a possible weapon." Lord third nodded his head to show the younger one that he was listening to him rant.
Hitoto thought of his first time fighting in the cage. "There's this one place I would go to that was really cool. It's a place where a lot of people would come together together and sit around a raised platform and people fight for money." He stopped for moment thinking of what to say next. "One time I witnessed a referee get knocked out."
The Hokage asked if the teen ever entered said platform. Hiroto answered with a laugh. "Hell yeah! My first match was when I was around fourteen, but I couldn't legally enter any of the matches till I turned eighteen, so my boss had to personally recommended me or something. I don't know exactly what he did." Hitoto shrugged sitting up. 'Maybe that's why Jon was so angry with me when I told him I didn't want to compete anymore.' Hitoto shook the thought from his head. 'Whatever, he's not my problem anymore.'The third spoke up after a brief moment of silence. "Gai and Kakashi were the ones who brought you here correct?" A little confused, but glad for the subject change, Hiroto nodded his head yes. "Ah. Did they threaten, handcuff, or take you hostage you in any way?" Hiruzen inquired. "nope." The elder let put a disappointed sigh. "So they didn't deem you as a threat, okay." Hitoto gave him a confused look. "Yeah..."
Hitoto took a brief moment before he snickered, finally realizing that the two ninjas broke an important protocol. "Weren't they supposed to put that in their reports." An agrivated "Yes." was Hiru-sama's response. covering a smile behind his hat the two lapse into a comfortable silence."Can I ask you something?" Hiroto began suddenly creating a serious aura around him. The Hokage gave him another questioning look. "What do you want to know child?" He inquired. "How am I going to train my kekkei-genkai if their's no one to teach me?" He asked the professor.
"That is a good question, but you know you're not alone in this correct? I'm here to help you in any way I can." The old man let out a small laugh when he noticed the teen was giving him a knowing look. "Naruto was right, you are a grandpa."
Hitoto stood up and walked up to the front of the Hokage's desk "Understood, thanks for the talk professor." He held out his hand which the elder gladly took. "You're welcome son." The Hokage chuckled breaking the handshake. Hiroto laughed as well. Before he could walk out of the office, Hiruzen's voice stopped him.
"Oh, and by the way, I'm placing you on a team with three academic students as a second sensei and student." Hitoto turned around in surprise. "Ehh?" He walked back and sat on the old man's desk with his legs dangling of to the side.
"Who's in my team?" The professor answered with a little hesitation. "Sakura, Sasuke, and Naruto." Hitoto stared blankly at him for a good minute. "So a squeaky fangirl, and egotistic duck, and a depressed ball of sunshine?" The professor awkwardly avoided eye contact with the younger one for a second before coughing into his fist. "Okay then, Who is the squad leader?" Hitoto questioned not understanding the old man's thought process. "You know him actually." The professor eyes showed a hint of humor. "Kakashi Hatake." Hitoto's fist met the palm of his other hand in recognition. "Oh! You mean Kaka-Baka!?" He exclaimed obviously excited to see the absent shinobi.
"Yes, him." The professor chuckled softly at the nickname for the absent ninja. "If you find him, you should find the others." Hiroto hopped of the man's desk running out the door yelling "Arigato Hiru-Sama!" The Shuyo didn't even wait for a response. 'Let the search for the Kaka-Baka begin!'
