Naruto was sitting at the very front beside Hinata. Sasuke was two rows behind him on one side while Sakura sat in the third to last row on the opposite side. I was sitting in the back of the room in-between two other Chunin(s) by the names of Kotetsu and Izumo. They were taken off guard duty in order to help to out with the exams. They're fun guys when their not complaining about their job.

I looked up hearing Ibiki's heavy footsteps. "Alright maggots. Settle down." He stepped behind the podium. "I am Morino Ibiki, the examiner for the first part of the Chunin selection exam's. Let's start with some ground rules." A couple of the Chunin who were stationed up front walked around the room and placed a sheet of paper face down on everyone's desks.
Ibiki then went on to explain how each of the team's score would be added up at the end of the exam to see which of the teams would pass and the Pokemon theme song popped into my head. I couldn't help but hum to myself while I listened to Ibiki-sama's explanation. I saw Kotetsu and Izumo holding back their smiles when they realized what I was humming.
"If anyone gets caught cheating five times, the entire team of Genin are disqualified and banned from the Chunin's exams." Ibiki stepped down from the podium and walked to where I was.
Ibiki had me on the stage shortly after all of the contestants we're scribbling down their answers.

I was standing up there for over half an hour. "What are some of the most used methods of cheating?" I stiffened my posture and swept my eyes across the room until an answer came to me. "Sir. The most used methods for cheating are Kekkei Genkai, wires, and/or chakra strings to reflect another's paper. sir." Ibiki nodded glancing around at the people who had just about given themselves away. "Good answer."

"The rules of the final question are simple. If you choose not to answer the question, you fail. If you answer the question incorrectly, you fail." Sakura interrupted him. "But sir!?" Ibiki(and a lot of others) turned their attention to her. "Many other people have been able to take the exam again before." A murmur of agreement urged her to continue. "So you're saying that if we don't answer this question correctly we'll be stuck as genin forever?" She ended with a glimmer of disbelief in her voice. "Correct." He smirked.
I walked over to the interrogator side. "Stop wasting everyone's time Ibiki." The room was dead silent and the ticking of the clock matched my steps. Each one louder than the last until I stood at the front. "It's simple, If you don't want to answer the question, then raise your hand." All it took was one person to raise their hands for teams to start flowing out.

Naruto's chair made a quick screeching noise. "Don't underestimate me, I will not run. I'll take it even if I am a genin forever. I will myself become a Hokage anyway, so I don't care." He glared at Ibiki who only smirked in return. "I am not afraid of you or your stupid question! Believe it!" After his outburst Ibiki just grinned slightly. "Anyone else?" Ibiki and I looked around and saw that everyone had an aura of determination. "Congratulations, you pass."

3rd P.O.V.
Hiroto looked down where a shadow other than his own caught his eye. The only reason he noticed was because the person was blocking sunlight coming through the window behind him. Glass shattered and the kickboxer immediately went on the defensive and rolled out of the way. Quicker than the eye could see Hiroto had tackled and pinned down the intruder. A somewhat high pitched voice stopped the Shuyo from pressing harder on the women's neck. "Can't a lady make a dramatic entrance without being attacked?!" Almost everyone's eyes widened at the somewhat intimate sight before them. Ibiki, who was the closest to the two walked over to the two and pulled Hiroto off of Anko. Anko visibly gasped for breath. She took Hiroto's extended hand and he helped her to her feet. "Anko. Isn't the next exam supposed to he held tomorrow?" She giggled. "Of course it is! but you always talk about how the early bird always gets the worm so here I am!" Anko turned to the other Genin as the Chunin started to file out of the room. "Okay everybody! Please follow Hiroto-kun to your next destination. I'll be waiting!~" After giving Hiroto his part of the job she went flying back out the window. "That little snake." Ibiki looked over Hiroto's shoulder at the circular sticker of a forest with the word death written in bold letters. Hiroto ignored the amusement in Ibiki's eye and hopped down from the raised platform. He quickly made his way across the room via table tops and right out the double doors without a word. It took about five minutes before a mass of people started following him.

Anko stood proudly on top of the cage surrounding the forest. Before Anko could actually begin her speech, Konohamaru and his two teammates interrupted her. She apparently agreed to whatever the kids told her because everybody had split up and went to chat with their friends. I blandly ignored everyone and went to a nearby bench.

"You ready to go?" I turned my head to the sound of a familiar voice. "Oh, hey Kakashi." I turned in my seat so I was facing him. "Yeah, I'm ready whenever you are." He swung himself over the the stone bench and sat down next to me. He set his hand on my knee and we sunshined away.

"My eternal rival! Glad you could join us on this very youthful day!" I flinched as Mighto Gai's voice penetrated my ear drums. Besides him, I saw many other familiar faces. Asuma and Kurenai were huddled together opposite of the same couch we were sitting in, Tenzou(preferably known as Yamato) was talking with Lucian. Iruka was a couch away from them busy talking to Aniki.
I made sure to catch up with Iruka on how things at the academy were going, figured out Yamato was finally with that one girl he's liked for a long while, scheduled a visit to the hot spring with Lucian and Aniki, and saw that Asuma was still wondering if he should ask the sleeping Kurenai he was cuddling with on a date. Kakashi and Gai did their own thing for the most part, even until I had settled down on the couch again. Kakashi chose that moment to pull a Kurenai and fall asleep with his head on my shoulder. Gai took a hint and went over to Yamato and Iruka to talk about the next generation.

Two hours later..
I sighed feelings the summoning tug not long after Kakashi beat Gai in another one of their competitions. Marking that the forty-fifth competition they've had so far in the last thirty-six hours.

When the summoning smoke cleared, team eight relaxed, moving out of their defense stances. "Hiroto-sensei!? How did you get here!?" Shino answered Kiba's question for me. "That was a summoning scroll." I smiled at the bug boy. "That's right Shino, but can you tell me what each of the summoning scrolls stand for?" He, along with his other two teammates shook there heads no. "The earth scroll stands for physical strength, while the heaven scroll stands for spiritual strength." Kiba scratched his head so I added a little more to my explanation. "Kiba, physical strength is gained by training the body. taijutsu, and ninjutsu are common methods for this. Spiritual strength is gained by training the mind and soul. A common method to achieving spiritual strength is by mediating; and since most genjtusu specialist have more spiritual strength than physical, someone like Kurenai-san might meditate more than others." The three nodded showing that they understood what I was talking about. "A good ninja must have a balance between the two." I escorted them to the participants waiting room before sunshine'ing back go where I came from.

"Do you want your book back?" I spoke after a moment of silence. Kakashi whipped his head in my direction. "Hai." I pulled it out my pouch and handed it to him. "Arigato." He opened the book up and started reading. "How did the team do on the written test?" I flopped my head against the back of the couch with a sigh. "They passed." I answered simply.
Shorty after Gai disappeared on us. I heard Kakashi humming a familiar tune from our time in the mist. 'I only sung that song because I couldn't sleep, and he was definitely supposed to be asleep.' I gave him a look. "You know that song?" He glanced at me. "I don't, but i've heard you sing it once or twice." Then he just continued humming the song like no tomorrow. "You're weird." I rolled my eyes playfully. We went back to reading and observing the others. "Hey Hiroto?" I hummed in response, but when he didn't say anything I gave him my full attention. "What is it Kakashi?" He halted his face to look at me curiously before he leaned back. "Nothing. Never mind." I chose to ignore the sudden change in his mood by closing my eyes again. "Whatever you say dude."
