The sun was gradually rising and before it reached its peak Sofia was awake with the birds.
She carefully moved away from the Black wolf besides her not wanting to wake him up.
She was reluctant to move away from the tingles that were brought with contact but she had to find River. She must be worried, Sofia thought.
She made a dash through the forest and made her way into the castle still in her wolf form. Once she got into her room that was when she changed back, putting on a silk gown she went to Rivers room finding her pacing up and down with worry on her face.
"River." Sofia whispered not wanting to scare her.
River turns towards the door to her room and rushes to hug Sofia. "Oh dear, i was so worried, where were you! Are you hurt, did something happen." She says frantically.
Sofia felt guilty for making her worry. "Im sorry River, im okay though." She whispers looking down.
"Im glad you are okay but you have to tell me these thing Sofia otherwise ill go crazy wondering where you were." River scolds making Sofia shrink into herself.
She hated being scolded, or making people upset...or angry or sad.
"Im sorry River, i promose i-ill inform you next time." She whimpers, tears burning her eyes but she held them in not wanting to be a cry baby.
River felt her taugh resolve crumbling and hugged the girl. She knew she could never be angry at her for long.
"All is forgive now tell me where the hell did you sleep last night."
Sofia cringes at the curse word.
"Umm well since you didn't want to play with me, i found another playing buddy. He's amazing! He played all my favourite games with me, and his fur is just so soft and it felt so good, it gave me tingles and i felt so good and and his eyes are really pretty." Sofia rambles on her eyes gleaming in excitement.
"Did you say tingles." River asks cutting the girl from her rambles
"Yes, everytime i touched him i felt tingles all over and it felt really good." She giggles remembering the feeling of her mysterious friend.
"Although he was huge and looked really scary he was really nice to me River." Sofia continues oblivious to her friends grin.
"YOU FOUND YOU MATE SOFIA!" River yells spining around in circles.
"My...mate" Sofia whispers.
"Yes silly!" River laughs at the girls shock.
"MY MATE!" Sofia yells climbing on the bed, jumping around in pure happiness, her laugh echoing though the walls, it was a sight to see and River enjoyed it.
"Now tell me, how does he look."
"Oh well, he had soft black fur and b-" River cuts her off.
"No i mean as a human."
"I..i didnt see him as a human" Sofia whispers confused. Was she supposed too?
"SOFIA! Silly girl! How are we going to find him now, how is he going to find you! Do you at least remember his scent."
Sofia felt stupid and soon she felt sad, she wasnt going to see her mate anytime soon.
"Yes, he smelt really good like the forest after it has rain, i love the rain and the forest!" She beems.
"Okay good now, tonight is another ball so we are going to sniff him out."
Sofia laughs at the though of sniffing everyone just to find her mate.
"I think I've met him before though because his scent was really familiar." Sofia adds.
"Well then that narrows it down, who did you meet that you've felt an undying attraction towards."
A person pops up in Sofias mind but she quickly denys it but her cheeks were already pink.
"Oh so you have met someone and you didnt think to tell me."
Well this person has made me go through an emotional roller coaster, Sofia thought.
He wasnt her biggest fan, that was probably why she didnt say anything to River, she was embarrassed for liking such a man.
"Umm, i forgot." She winces at the lie.
"Forgot my foot. But its fine ill meet him tonight!"
"He's...he's not my mate."
"How would you know that though you havent touched him yet."
"Yes but i just know." Sofia whispers.
She couldn't be mated to him , it just wasnt possible.
And with that thought she went to the bathroom and took a long relaxing bath.
