Control.
It came easy for Lucian. He had years to master it and he had mastered it or so he thought.
But watching Sofia shaking, crying in pain on his bed...
He found that it was getting harder and harder to control himself and his wolf. He knew what he could do to end all this, he knew and god he wanted to end all this pain for her but she wasnt ready yet.
She wasnt ready to be eternally bind to him just yet.
He makes his way to the bathroom and grabs a cloth and wettens it. He makes his way back to Sofia and knees next to the bed.
He places the damp cloth on her forehead hoping that it would help cool her down.
"Make it stop." Sofia whispers.
She places her hand on Lucians hand finding that the pain would stop with every contact.
"Tell me what you want me to do, darling and I'll do it. How can i help you my queen. " he whispers, caressing her hand.
"Cuddles"
He was confused.
"Cuddles?"
She nods her head a blush making her already pink cheek even brighter.
"River always cuddles with me whenever i feel scared or have those nightmares even when im hurt." Sofia whispers seeing Lucians confused face.
He would address "those nightmares" another time but now:
Cuddles.
He knew what cuddles were he just never though he would be giving someone cuddles. It was almost funny. The king of wolves, the strongest and most powerful ruler of the dark...giving cuddles.
Clearing his throat he makes his was to the otherside of the bed and places himself flat on the bed facing upwards as he akwardly looked at the ceiling.
"Um what next." He asks awkwardly.
Sofia would have giggled if another wave of heat and pain didnt wash over her.
She scoots closer to him placing her head on his chest and her leg over his thighs, she placed her hand on his chest and snuggled closer feeling the pain subside.
Lucian pulls her even closer using the hand underneath her and wraps his other hand around her.
He places his head on her neck taking a deep breath of her sweet scent. She smelt like flowers, some roses, some lavender, every kind.
"I like cuddles." He found himself whispering.
"Me too." Whispered Sofia.
"River gives the best cuddles also Dan, he's pretty good." Rambles Sofia almost sleepily.
Lucian growls upon hearing the whole sentence she uttered startling Sofia.
"I-im sorry did i hurt you" she stutters out trying to get out of Lucians grip but he didnt allow it.
"Who's Dan." He asks his voice low and dark.
"D-dan is the garden boy back at the orphanage. He loves giving cuddles. He said that in 3 years time he will come here and find his mate then give her all the cuddles in the world. Thats a lot of cuddles.
He says i give good cuddles but i need practice. Do you think im good at cuddles Luci."
Luci? He wasnt sure whether to be angry or amazed. She gave him the nickname Luci which is also Lucy which is also a females name at least she confirmed that that Dan boy was 15 and was just a friend.
"I think you do give the best hug- cuddles and i also think i should be the only one getting these cuddles." Lucian whispers closer to her ear.
Sofia scrunches up her eyebrows and looks up at Lucian, "but but, what about Cookie and and and River and Dan and the tress because they also need cuddles. Did you know trees are alive?"
Lucian almost chuckled at the rambles of his mate. She was adorable.
"Okay I'll make an exception for only those people...and Cookie...and Trees but no one else, you wanna know why." Lucians voice grows darked as he whispers near her ear making her shiver.
"Why." Sofia asks her voice breathless.
"Because you're mine." He whispers placing a kiss near her ear.
He kisses her forhead, her cheeks, her nose, her eyes, he kisses everywhere but the place she felt the need to be kisses.
