"I say we gather our strongest warriors and head over there, catch them off guard and attack." One of the council members, Harold says.
"I agree with Sir Harold, our biggest advantage would be catching them of guard." Thomas, another council member says.
"We can't just go to war, there are too many casualties with war. Rather they attack first, that way we know we have no choice but to attack." Matthew says.
The king listened to the idea, back and forth, in silence. He knew at the end of the day his idea would be the one that would be executed so it was rather entertaining to watch them argue.
His gaze shifts to the girl in his arms, his mate. She snuggled closer into him. He almost smiled at that. Her face although had dried tears and was slightly pink, was so serene and beautiful that he couldn't tear his gaze away, she was beautiful and her beauty was real, it was natural and wild.
Like a flower.
He placed his hands through her unruly hair, it was filled with curls and it was everywhere but he found that he loved it like this. He loved her like this.
With her feet bare and her hair wild. She was beautiful and he wouldnt change a thing. Not one.
He had stopped listening to his men, he didn't care about what they were arguing about and at the current moment he didnt care about the vampires, he needed to get his mate to bed. She must be feeling uncomfortable.
He stands up from his seat and adjusts the sleeping Sofia in his arms then makes his way to the door ignoring the calls he was receiving.
"Your majesty we need to discuss this matyer urgently. We need to find a plan before the vampires do."
This stops the king. "You question me." He demands, his tone hard along with his eyes.
"N-no sire but-"
"Have i not gotten us out of wars far more bloodier then what the vampires drink. Have we not fought the dragons and thrived baring their kings head. Do not question me." And with that he exits and head over to Sofias room.
He places her on her bed but she refuses to detach herself from him frocing him to lie down with her ontop.
gods. What good has he done to deserve such.
Was his last thought as he too drifted to sleep in the comfort of his mate.
And so the days passed, Sofias head along with them and a flower for each day. Sofia found her heart melting, her fear slowly diminishing as she opened her doors each morning to find a flower and a note.

He truely cared for her and she was begining to realise that. Even though he was pure evil without a doubt, truely love makes a fool out of everyone for he saw himself on his knees begging for the good that is her.
"Ooh another flower from the King!" River says as she sees Sofia holding a daisy.
"You sure have him wrapped around your little finger and you don't even know it." She coes loving the blush on her cheeks.
"I'm not the only one with a mate you know. How is Kaden." Sofia said in a sing-song like voice as she teased River.
She knew they had mated because of the bite mark on her neck. So soon.
Would she have on like hers? Does it hurt? Does Kaden have one too?
Sofia could help but think. She hoped it didnt hurt because she was too good with pain.
"Well we're great! He asked me to move in the room with him. I of course said yes i unfortunately dont like being alone since you ditched our room for another one, closer to your mate."
Sofias already pink cheeks turner red.
"Well if youre happy then im happy!"
Little did they know their mates were having a similar conversation. "I have never seen you so smitten." Kaden says to the busy Lucian who was reading over finances.
He grunts. Smitten. It made him seen soft.
"You're one to talk." Lucian says not bothering to look up from his desk.
"So have you mated."
Lucian growls. "Thats not for you to know."
"So no then." Kaden laughs.
"Go find some else to bother."
"Thats explains the grumpiness."
"Leave.
"Its bad isn't it. River didnt let me tou-."
"I dont do girl talk Kaden. Leave." He says sternly.
"Fine, fine. I'll tell Sofia to come visit you, youre way too uptight." He laughs as he walks out of the study.
