He felt it. The godforsaken sparks. He immediately let her go from his tight grip but he still could feel the sparks lingering on his hand.
His mate, she was his mate. He cursed like a sailor as he watched her wailing. She hadn't noticed the tingles as she was too busy crying and fearing for her life.
Oh gods.
She was crying because of him. He was about to kill his mate, he scared her. He hurt her.
He cursed even more as he backed away from her. Even with his inner turmoil he finally could explain his fixation towards her. She was his mate, she was the white wolf.
His mate.
His mate that he was about to kill. He got out of the cell in a haste and made his way to the guards stationed near the entrance.
"Take the girl to one of the guest rooms in my wing, bring her friend with her and give her as many chocolate cakes and sweets as possible." He says hurridly.
He needed to go for a run to sort his head.
Just as he was about to leave he turns back to the guard, "oh and give her her rabbit and make sure there is food for it too." And with that he leaves, living the guards confused at the change of heart, but non the less they follow his instructions a little eagerly too.
When Sofia saw the guards her crys got louder as she feared that something even worse was too happen, they gentally grab her forearm to pull her up and led her to the room that was to be hers.
She had stopped crying but her hiccups were enough to crack anyones hearts if not for her red, tear stained face. Her lips were set into a frown, her bottom lip in her mouth, her eyebrows scrunched and her eyes filled with tears as if she was to burst into another set of tears at any moment.
When they got to the room they placed her gentally on the bed and left to go fetch her goodies and friend.
One guard went to fetch the cakes and sweets while the other went to fetch her two friends the rabbit and the girl.
The guard knocked on the door to the girls room, he was not expecting to see the second in comand, Beta Kaden.
"What do you need." Beta Kaden says his tone harsh as he impatiently waited to get back to his weeping mate.
"I have orders from the Alpha to fetch the girl and the rabbit." The guards says masking his shock. So the beta has found his mate, he couldnt wait to tell his friend.
"To where." The beta asks, he never questions his Alpha but regarding his mate he would.
"To a room with her friend by the name of Lady Sofia. I believe she would really need a friend in this currrent moment." The guard says his eyes softening in mention of Sofia.
The beta nods his head knowing well enough how one gets after the Alphs Kings wrath.
River hearing all this rushes to the door with Cookie in hand. Her eyes were red, clear signs of crying.
The guards leads both the beta and River towards the room being occupied by Sofia.
When they got there to their suprise Sofias face was filled with cake, her cheeks were bloated with cake and her hands dirty with a mixrure of cream and cake.
Her tears had dried up and her eyes had that glow that had been missing since she was put in the cells.
River rushes to her and hugs the girl placing the bunny on the bed. Tears of relief and joy fall from her eyes.
"Oh how worried i was for you Sofia!" River exclaims as she scans the girl for injuries.
"Im okay River, see!" Sofia says after swallowing the cake and licking her lips of th excess but it only made the cream to smudge all around her lips.
Sofia finally notices the two men standing by the door, she swallows her fear of the guard and says, "Do you wany some ca-" but is cut off by a squeak.
She turns around on the bed and sees Cookie sniffing the sheets.
"Cookie, ive miss you!" Sofia, whips her chocolate covered hands on her dress and picks the bunny up.
"You must be hungry!" Sofia exclaims completely forgetting the people watching her.
Sofia places Cookie down and takes the bowl with sliced carrots and lettuce and places it besides Cookie who immediately eats.
"Um Sof, id like you to meet my mate Kaden." River announce.
They domt notice the guard slip out and stand next to the room in order to guard it.
Sofia gasps. "Oh yes! Hello Mr Kaden sir, I'm Sofia and that is my friend Cookie. Im sorry to be rude but do you want some cake." Sofia rambles as she bring the half eaten full cake towards Kaden who chuckles.
"Maybe another time, i think i should leave you two to chat, it was nice meeting you Sofia and you too Cookie." And with thar Kaden kisses River on the cheek and leaves leaving River and Sofia to talk about her time in the cells even though the thought almost got them both in tears.
