River wanted to do more as she stared at the weeping girl but all she could do was rub her back and provide all the comfort she could.

Something had frightened the girl and it had frightened her to the core that all she could do was cry.

River wanted to know the root to her frightful and tearful self but she could barely talk through her hiccups.

"Everything is going to be okay my sweet." River says with a low voice trying her best not to scare the girl.

"I-i w-want to leave now." Sofia manages to crack out.

"What about your mate my sweet." River says softly.

Sofia didnt answer but continues to cry. Her sobs are suddenly stopped by the door being roughly opened, scaring the two girls.

The guards make their way towards Sofia and grab her with force making Sofia cry out in pain at the brute force.

"Hey! Let her go!" River yells while trying her best to take Sofia out of the hands of the guards but one of the guards push her with much force that she falls on her behind making Sofia cry out for her friend.

The guards drag a distressed and sobbing Sofia out of the room.  Their faces were although filled with indifference their hearts were cracking as they tried their best to ignore the little girl in their arms.

"P-please p-please l-let m-me go." Sofia stutters through her sobs.

They ignore her crys and lead her to the dungeon, once there they throw her into a cell and lock it. They make their way to the door to guard it, leaving the girl to her wails.

Sofia was confused, why was she here, did she do something wrong, was this her punishment?

The tears had make a permanent resistance on her cheeks. Sofia rushes towards the lock and trys pulling at it. "Please help me, i-i promise i didn't do anything wrong." Sofia yells hoping to be saved out of the scary room she was locked in.

"I promise I'll be good." She whispers as the doubt of being innocent fills her head. Maybe she did do something wrong...

But alas her crys where ignored if heard. After a while she goes to the coner of the room and hugs legs and places her head ontop of her knees as a way to comfort herself.

That night King Lucian could not sleep, his mind kept drifting off to the girl who he had placed in the dungeons as a way to rid his mind of her, he couldnt stop thinking abour her, he felt weird emotions as he thought of her state in the dungeons, her tears, her fear.

And so he decided he would end both their suffering by killing her. It needed to be done. He couldnt have her disturbing his mate and his' life well thats if he finds her.

His plan on finding her was hosting another run for the wolves in hopes to find his little mate. He vividly remembers how soft her white fur was, her scent, her eyes. Beautiful.

Lucian almost laughed at how love struck he sounded, surely a measly mate bond could not have the power to make him soft..could it.  He couldnt afford to be soft especially with the impending rivalry between him and the vampires.

No one knew though, no one knew the real cause to his hate towards the vampires they all just assumed that it was the King of darkness being well...the king of darkness.

But it was much more, his loathing towards the vampires ran deep and he was sure to be the one to come out on top.

Oh how he would love to impale them all.

But first the girl, he would deal with her, find his mate and make sure she is mated and her belly is swelled as soon as possible then kill the vampires.

What a great plan!

But even with these wonderful thoughts roaming in his head, Lucian couldnt help but feel like he was going about this wrongly and he was never one to like being wrong. He felt the foreign feeling of guilt and that guilt kept him up until the sun peaked signaling a new day dawn.
