Nature, that was what she needed.
To calm her fears and caress her nerves more especially after the horrendous night of yesterday.
After getting dressed and not bothering with her hair or shoes Sofia makes her way out of her room leaving a sleeping River to her dreams.
Sofia rushes out of the castle feeling trapped in the confides of the beautiful but daunting building.
She decided not to go to the garden but instead to the alluring forest that resided a bit of a distance from the castle. As she stepped out of the front door her eyes widen and her mouth gapes.
She felt her body freeze and fear, shock, horror filled her being as she gazed at what was infront of her.
Although it was at a distance her eyes could see clearly.
There was a crowd around the pole, some crying while others shake in fear as they all gazed upon the figure that was hanging ontop of the pole.
The pole went through his back coming out of his chest, he was naked and bloody. Sofia immediately recognized him as the Vampire from last night.
The king had actually impaled him. She never judged people or pinned them as bad people because she knew that they could have a justified reason for all their bad doings but try as she might to think of a good reason for the king killing someone so inhumanely and humiliating them even after death she could not find but one.
Vampire or not he did not deserve this, no one does.
Sofia could feel the tears trickling down her cheeks, she could feel her breath being taken from her as she struggles to breathe.
And as if the skys sensing her turmoil of emotions they gathered clouds together and produced rain. The wind blowing softly a frail attempt to comfort Sofia.
Sofia didnt want to go for that walk anymore, she was too scared to go anywhere near the impaled man and so she turned away and ran back to her room.
Her tears falling freely and her sobs echoing inside the castle. She didnt care for the maids and guards that gazed at her with sympathy. They might not know the subject to her distress but they knew that something so pure was not meant to shed tears other then of joy.
Once again she had melted the hearts of all those who gazed upon her besides the King.
The king was bloody, he had just finished casting his terror on the Vampire satisfying his thirst and hunger for blood upon his enemies. He heads to his room and orders for a bath, immediately getting into the water and closing his eyes as a small smile makes its way to his lips and his tense muscles relax.
He thought of his mate and the feeling of her fur. He thought about how she would looked, how she would sound.
His thoughts even went as far as thinking about her with a swelled belly that would carry and nurture his seed.
But his train of thoughts were dimolished by a face. The face belonging to Sofia, his mind replayed the face of fear that she gave him yesterday, it made him feel these confusing emotions that he didnt dare to put to words.
He should be thinking about his mate. He should forget this girl. He should not care for her expressions or her emotions.
This fixation on this girl had him frustrated, he was angry that he couldn't stop thinking about her.
And with that thought he gets up from his bath and wears his robe.
"Guards, i want you to take a girl by the name of Sofia to the dungeons, lock her up, dont feed her until i say so." He ordered his guards.
He would get rid of this fixation once and for all and he would do it in a way he was well acquainted with.
