"I could give you this railroad right now... for 150 dollars." I bargained with Kenma, and he scoffed.

"That's a scam. I would never buy that." He grimaced, and rolled the dice. A 5 and a 7. He moved 12 places to Park Place, which he owned, with a hotel. "Thank god. Your turn. Tetsuro." He passed the dice to me, and I took them, my hand brushing his, my whole body heating up at the slight touch.

I rolled the dice, getting a 2 and a 5. I moved 7 places to land on the B & O Railroad, and I sighed.

"50 dollars." Kenma held out his hand, and I reluctantly gave him the money. I propped my hand on my palm, and looked at the tv, which was running on some random sit-com that Kenma liked. I was almost broke, which made me angry.

"Ugh I wanna kill myself." I said jokingly, thinking about what would happen if I did. Would anyone care about me? I was tapped out of my thoughts by monopoly pieces flying all over the room. "Kenma what-"

"Don't say that." Kenma looked at me, his usual straight face now looking worried and angry.

"It was a joke-" I was cut off by Kenma again.

"I don't care. Why would you even say that? That stuff scares me so much." He clenched his fists, and looked back at me.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to offend you. Why do you care so much?" I asked, and his whole face changed from desperation to anger.

"Why? Because... I really care about you and I don't want you to feel that way." He was this time looking at me seriously.

"You care about me?" I was dumbfounded at the comment. "Are you sure?"

"Do you want me to prove it to you?" Kenma looked at me with those feline eyes, and I nodded. He cupped his hand around my cheek and drew himself closer, his lips a breath away from mine.

"Can I?" He breathed.

"Yes." I whispered against his lips, and he drew his lips to mine. I was surprised, but not the bad kind. I kissed back, and pushed off of my spot on the floor, the two of us now face-to-face in the middle of the floor. I put one hand on the floor behind Kenma and the other on the back of his neck.

"Kenma! Time for dinner!" Mrs. Kozume yelled, and Kenma broke the kiss, his hands now in my hair, though I didn't realize they had moved.

"Okay!" He yelled, and you could hear the dissatisfaction in his voice. "Was that proof enough?" He smirked, a new side of him showing.

"Yes." I whispered, breathless.

"I guess it's time for dinner." He dropped his hands and I did as well, my heart still going a mile a minute. He pushed off the floor, and walked out of the door, not looking back. What were we?
