"Oh, you aren't? I beg to differ, love."
The haunting English accent reverberated in my ears and my stomach dropped. I knew the voice anywhere. I turned and saw Harry leaning on the bar next to me. His hat was low on his eyes and he had a plain black t-shirt on, his legendary necklace was tucked inside his shirt and I saw his guards slowly appear on all sides of us. No one noticed the celebrity that was inches away from them. I leaned into Harry but he grabbed my shoulders and pulled me back. I gave him a confused look and was instantly overcome with anger.
"Fine, Harry. I'm leaving. This is what you want right??"
I didn't even know why I was angry with him but I was. I went to turn and did it too quickly and lost my balance. Thank God I was able to catch myself on the bar and kept walking away from Harry. I still had no idea why I was mad. I blamed it on the way he was acting but also the excessive amount of alcohol. I saw Charlie standing on the other side of the room and found my way to her.
"There you are! What the heck, where were you?"
"Harry is here."
"Wait, seriously?? Harry Styles is here??"
"Sssshhhh, ssh."
"Oh, its fine. No one is paying attention. Can I meet him???"
"He is kind of annoying me right now. He's acting all protective and invasive."
Before I could say another word, I felt someone bump and push me out of the way to get to the opposite side of the bar. All of a sudden there was a surge of people and Charlie and I got knocked out of the way. I landed on my hands while Charlie caught herself on the supporting beams of the bar. She starting laughing as she helped me up.
"Jeez, I guess I was wrong. Wow. Look at all these people going after your boy."
I looked over after wiping my hands off on my pants and she was right. Harry was completely hidden by the massive group of people around him. I saw his body guards but I didn't see him. I shook my head and just wanted to go to sleep. Charlie was swallowed in the crowd and I was alone now while everyone was trying to get a glimpse of Harry and take pictures with him.
I decided to take matters into my own hands and walk back to the hotel. I pushed back the bar doors and welcomed the air. I looked down both sides of the street and people were everywhere. I pushed past them to find the name of the cross streets. I had no idea how to get back to the hotel. I took out my phone, switched it back on, and tried to use my GPS. After ten minutes, I gave up and just started walking. My vision was so blurry now and the Boston air was whipping against my bare arms. That's when I realized I had forgotten my blazer and crossed my arms in front of me.
By the grace of God, I found the hotel and somehow found my way back up to the suite. The hallway was deserted which meant Harry was still out. I waved the hotel key in front of sensor and on the fifth try, finally got it open. I stumbled into the room and stripped off my clothes. I instantly felt sick and thankfully made it to the bathroom and threw up for a good half hour.
I pulled myself back up from the porcelain throne and wiped my face off with the pretty, embroidered bathroom towels. My head was pounding as I put the towel back on the rack. I leaned on the sink and the pounding continued. It was a very audible pounding now when I realized it was door. I made my drunken way to the door and pulled it open.
"Jesus, Rowan! There you are! God, you had me so worried! Don't do that to me!" screamed Charlie as she barged into the suite. "Seriously, it was like mayhem when everyone realized Harry was there. Oh, Rowan you don't look so good? Here, let me get you some water."
I had no idea how Charlie was able to form sentences but then again I was the one pounding vodka and clubs all night. I slumped onto the couch and welcomed the cold water from my friend.
"Better?"
"Better. Thanks, Char."
"Course, Row. Come on, let's get you to bed."
"Wait, wait, where's Harry?"
Charlie looked around and must have assumed he was here.
"He's not here. I actually have no idea where he is..." The room was spinning again and somewhere between Charlie helping me change and get into bed, I fell in a complete drunken sleep.
