After tossing and turning, and going in and out of sleep for the next three hours, by 7AM I threw the covers off and gave up on sleep. I stumbled into my bathroom and turned on various hair tools that Laurie had left me. I grabbed my computer and quickly messaged my mom that I wanted to pick up my new phone after work today. I then turned on the coffee machine and ventured back into my room to find something to wear today. I was getting the evil eye from Marc the past few weeks for not dressing up to this liking, so I opted for a pair of white jeans, black belt, light blue button up and a dark blue blazer over top. I grabbed a few silver bracelets, a watch and black sandals.
I grabbed a cup of coffee and went back into my bathroom to figure out what I was going to do with my hair. I looked at the different hair tools and wished Laurie was here to help. I've just been throwing my hair up in a ballerina bun and calling it a day. I looked at the wand and the straightener and decided my best bet was the straightener.
I pulled the iron through my hair and was happy to see that it was taming the beast of my hair. I took a sip of my coffee and took a step back. My hair looked shiny and straight and complemented my outfit. I applied mascara and blush and ran a brush through my hair as I heard a notification from my laptop.
*Phone is ordered, it's in stock so it will be there when you stop by after work. Please call me when you have it. Love you. Mom.*
I typed back a thank you and grabbed my work bag and purse. I slid on a pair of sunglasses and pulled back my front door.
"Good morning, Ms. Emerson. You look nice today."
"Thanks, Marsh. I feel better today."
I pushed away the incident with Pryce from the early morning and greeted the day like a new beginning. I would be talking to Harry later on my new phone and everything was going to be ok. I jumped inside the SUV as the cameras were steadily clicking and welcomed the sight of the front door of my job. With Marsh's help, I safely got inside and saw Marc, George, Maddy, and the rest of the staff busily talking with one another.
"Good morning, everyone."
They all looked up from their conversations and their jaws dropped. I could hear a pin drop if I wanted.
"Woah," said Maddy.
"Finally!! She's alive!" yelled Marc as he threw his papers in the air and pulled me into a hug. "I am so glad you took Harry back!"
I pushed back from the hug and looked around confused. Maddy pulled out her phone and I was instantly captivated by the smiling green-eyed person looking back at me. My eyes moved down the page and I read the title.
STYLES LOOKING RESTED AND HAPPY ON HIS MORNING RUN – AMERICAN GIRL DOLL TO BLAME?
"Wow, this will never get old." My eyes rested on the photo of me from yesterday running in the city. I shook my head and laughed.
The day moved along quickly with staff meetings and editing press releases. I was anxious to get my phone and talk to Harry. Finally, it was time to leave and I spotted Marsh talking to Maddy.
"Hey, Marsh. We have to get my new phone today before we head home. Bye, Maddy. See you tomorrow."
She waved then called me back. "Shit, I forgot. Here, the itinerary for Ireland next week."
I looking at her in confusion then I remembered. I was going to Ireland to help cover the boys' interview. I had completely forgotten.
"Oh, yea. Thanks." I pulled open the packet and looked over the contents.
"Ireland is beautiful, you'll love it," I heard Marsh say as we got into the SUV.
"You're coming, right?" I had grown so used to having Marsh with me that without him, it would be odd.
He nodded as we made our way to the store. My stomach did flips as we got closer. I couldn't wait to talk to Harry. After what felt like forever, the new shiny white and silver phone was in my hand. As it was coming to life, I heard someone call my name. I paid no mind, assuming it was the paparazzi. I heard my name again and snapped up my head.
"What!" I yelled in the direction of the noise.
I was greeted by a younger girl with bright blue eyes and dirty blonde hair. She had to be no older than 16 as I looked at her more closely. I felt terrible for snapping at her.
"S-sorry. Uh, do I know you?" I racked my brain but came to no conclusion as to who this girl was.
"You're Rowan Emerson."
I looked around the store waiting for something to jump out but no one was paying any mind to us. I looked at Marsh and he shook his head.
"Yea...I'm sorry, have we met?"
She shook her head, with her blue eyes wide. We stood there awkwardly for a few seconds until she blinked and opened her mouth.
"I'm C-Chelsea. You're dating Harry Styles, aren't you?"
I looked around, hoping no one heard what she said. I slowly nodded and smiled.
"I KNEW IT!"
I laughed and brought my finger up to my mouth to quiet her.
"Wow. You're really pretty in person. Can we take a picture?? Please!"
"Sure!" I handed my things to Marsh as Chelsea took out her phone and took a photo with me. A few people were starting to look at us now but her and I weren't paying any attention. After promising her I would tell Harry she said hi and giving her a hug, Marsh and I left the store.
"That was...different. I mean, not in a bad way, just that I never thought that would happen to me."
Marsh laughed as we pulled away from the curb. "You are a bit of a celebrity now. When people see you, especially the fans, they associate you with Harry and of course they get excited."
I nodded and looked out the window replaying what had just happened with their fan. I was pulled away from the moment by the buzzing phone in my hand. My heart fluttered when I saw that it was Harry.
