A Missing Ninja

Chapter Seventeen

Things were getting pretty tense between Garu and his friends. Especially when they said that they wanted him to come home. When they arrived, Garu didn't want to make any eye contact and left for the forest. However, his friends wouldn't let him be.

"How come you don't want to come home?" Abyo asked while hanging upside down a tree. "Because I don't want to? And may I ask when was the last time you took a shower?" Garu responsed. Abyo smelled his armpit and gagged. He then glared at Garu. "I know you're my best friend, but I think I liked you better when you had your vow of silence." Garu rolled his eyes and tried to continue meditating. "Why won't you come home?" Tobe asked. "Why do you care? You hate me." Garu said with a raised brow. "No I don't." Garu pointed at Tobe's backpack with a picture of Garu with a no symbol on it. "Oh...yeah, about my vengeance, I..."

"Guys, can Garu and I speak alone please?" Pucca asked them. Everyone except Ring Ring nodded. "Why can't I talk to him alone?" she whined. Ayo dragged her back to the house. "Come on Miss, I believe Mrs. Aera made some tea." he said. When they all left, Pucca and Garu were left alone.

Pucca tried to smile to lighten the mood, but she could sense the hurt in Garu's eyes. She sighed. "Garu, listen. I know I'm the last person you want to see right now and I know how much I've hurt you but-" "Yeah, you've hurt me more than anyone ever had." he said quietly. Pucca's eyes began to wield up. "I KNOW I HURT YOU!! LISTEN, YOU'RE THE ONLY PERSON THAT I EVER FELT THIS WAY!! I CHASE YOU BECAUSE I DON'T WANT TO LOSE YOU!! Please...I've come so far...you don't have to love me, heck you don't even have to like me anymore, but please..forgive me..." she cried.

She got on her knees and began to quietly sob. Garu winced. Even after all this time, he still hated seeing her upset. Garu walked closer to her and pulled her up. He then wiped her eyes. "Don't cry over me. I forgive you...but give me time okay?" Garu said and he walked away, shedding a few tears himself.

Pucca was left all alone. Well, she thought she was alone but Garu's brothers and sisters were listening to the entire thing from the trees. They all got down and faced Pucca.

"Ohh.. so YOU'RE the one who attacked him!!" Hope said cracking her knuckles. She tried to attack her but Noble held her back. "Dude, chill, she apologized." he told his sister.  "You shouldn't be here!! You don't deserve to treat him like that and get away with it!" Hope snapped. "Hope!" Noble exclaimed but Pucca shook her head. "It's okay, I deserve it." she said wiping her eyes.

Melody walked towards Pucca. "He forgives you, and I'm sure he still loves you. Mama always says that love is the most powerful thing in the world." she said. Blaze gagged at her answer. "Wait a minute! We can help you win him back!" Melody exclaimed. "WHAT?!" Pucca and Hope exclaimed. "Yeah! We can help you win him back! I've read a ton of romance stories and I'm sure that when we're through, Garu will be head over heels in love with you again!" Melody told Pucca. Noble nodded at the idea. "Yeah, we can help you. Plus, I've heard him talk in his sleep about you, so I'm pretty sure he still likes you." he stated. Blaze shrugged, which meant he'd help. Hope's siblings looked at her.

"Hope?" Noble asked. She groaned. "Oh alright! I'll help you." she said with defeat. Pucca smiled. "But if you hurt him again..." Hope whispered to Pucca with a death stare. Pucca stepped back, nothing tended to scare her, but Hope's stare made her feel very uncomfortable.

"Thank you." Pucca said with a smile. Melody dragged her back to the house, determined to get Pucca back into Garu's heart. However, news from Sooga Village was vastly approaching them.
