A Missing Ninja

Chapter Twenty Five

With the information Tobe has gathered, our heroes were able to come up with plans in order to take down Mel and end his reign of terror.

Pucca and Garu we're looking over the map Tobe had provided. They figured they could take him from above. Noble, Hope, Ayo, and Ring Ring would cause a distraction for the zombies, while Pucca, Garu, Ching, and Abyo will sneak through the temple's vents to get to Mel. Meanwhile Tobe and his ninjas will take down any inside forces in the temple, including Doga and Muji.

"Okay, this plan should work and Sooga will be at peace again." Garu stated while looking at the map. Pucca sighed. "Yeah, that would be a relief for all the villagers, and you'll be able to go back home." she added. Garu looked up at her. "What do you mean?" "Look, your family is in the other village, you should go home. Ever since Dong King tricked you into thinking you were his son, you always wanted to know who your true family was, and now you do." Pucca explained. She looked down sadly. "Maybe..you would be more happy there." she added.

Garu sighed. "It's true that I was pretty happy knowing that I had parents and siblings," he admitted. "But that doesn't mean I care about you or the others in Sooga any less." he said. "Before I even knew I had a family, this was my home. And as far as I'm concerned, that's how it will always remain." Pucca smiled but frowned. "What about your family? After finding you, what if they-" "If they really thought that, they probably wouldn't have let me come here. Besides, they'll understand." Garu told her.

"Garu, listen, about the dinner. I'm so-" "It wasn't your fault Pucca." "No, it was. I should've known better, you would never do anything like that to me." "But if I didn't keep running away from you, it wouldn't have happened to begin with." Garu stated sadly. "I know you didn't meant to hurt me, but why did you? Ching once told me that you felt the same way." Pucca asked. Garu sighed.

"I thought..I wasn't worthy of being with you. You always saved me when I was in danger, even when sometimes I didn't appreciate it. As we grew older, ever since after we defeated Dong King and saved Sooga, I began to realize how important you were to me, but...the way I've been treating you was shameful. I kept doing it because I believed you deserved someone better than me." Garu explained.

Pucca walked towards him and hugged him. "I always thought you've been worthy of me Garu. I should've given you more space now that I think about the things I've done. I didn't know much about love then, but I do now. And I just want you to be happy." Pucca whispered. Garu lifted her chin to have Pucca look in his eyes. At that moment, she couldn't look away from those jet black orbs. "I've always been truly happy when I was with you, and that's the only way I'll remain that way." he replied softly. The two leaned in and shared a soft yet sweet kiss. Something that Garu missed and something that Pucca had always dreamed of.

"YES!! FINALLY!!" a cheer interrupted the silence (and the moment). Pucca and Garu turned around and saw a blushing Ching covering an excited Abyo's mouth. The renewed couple backed away from each other blushing. "How long have you two been standing there?" Garu asked. Ching twiddled her thumbs while smiling. "The whole conversation?" she giggled. Garu sighed. "So, you ready with the plan?" Abyo asked. Pucca nodded. "Yep, we're ready.
