The foreigner was being the absolute worst texter in existence. And he knew he was, he was doing it on purpose. And the worst part, was that the taller male, didn't even care. He still texted back in full sentences, even some paragraphs while Felix just really wasn't interested in the conversation. The older was so painfully obvious with the effort he was putting in, while the Australian was doing his best to put no effort in whatsoever. He'd let Changbin in too close for comfort. Even though they were barely close at all. Not even close.
They texted back and forth for around an hour on a random Tuesday night. Changbin trying his hardest to hold a conversation with Felix who was painfully obvious that he didn't want to talk. Sending one word replies to Changbin's nearly complete paragraph messages.
Felix was focused on trying to avoid Changbin. So much so that during his classes the following day, he made sure to take different routes to his classes, the paths less traveled by. It was less crowded anyway. Halfway through the day, the hallways were nearly quiet. He liked it. Though it didn't end up working the way he was hoping, since he ended up nearly running right into the male he had been trying to avoid. He had rounded the corner, only to see Changbin and Jake talking as they walked in his direction. His teammate was looking up as he spoke, Changbin looking at the male speaking.
Felix's eyes widened and he cursed, "shit," as he turned around and ran down the hallway, entering an empty classroom to hide from Changbin. He moved away from the small window by the door so that he wouldn't be seen.
He breathed out a sigh when they duo passed the classroom, and shook his head at himself, unable to understand any of his own actions anymore. Why couldn't he have just walked down the same hallway? Kept his head down, played on his phone. Why did he have to panic and make himself three minutes late to his dance class? He didn't know.
He danced too hard during class like he always did, finding himself lost in rehearsal like he loved doing. He loved dance. He loved the people in his dance class, two of his classmates being two of his closest friends. When they were on break, was when his two friends came over and sat by him. The oldest of the three of them, Minho, asked, "hey, I was thinking we should meet an hour earlier tomorrow."
"Why?" Hyunjin asked.
"I told you why," Minho said, patting his friends shoulder.
"I want to know why," Felix added, taking a sip of his water.
"I just want to."
Felix didn't believe him in any way. He'd been friends with Minho for years and had been able to tell when he was holding back something. It was how he had been able to find out about him having a crush on Jisung. Felix had kind of made matchmaker with the two. He was the one that convinced Minho to just man up and talk to Jisung about his feelings.
He was about to question Minho further, but didn't get the opportunity to do so since their teacher had decided to get everyone back to rehearsal for the remainder of the class. Felix let his mind clear as he danced again. He didn't want to think about anything anymore. Just wanted some peace.
And maybe, since he didn't have soccer practice that day, that was why after he finished all of his classes, he went to the school from the gym, played some music from the portable speaker he had borrowed from the dance room, and for about an hour and a half, danced along to the songs he had collected in a playlist for himself. For occasions like that one, when he couldn't stop thinking about someone he didn't want to get close to. He certainly was thinking a lot about someone he didn't want to think about.
The australian took a break after the hour and a half, he sat down and drank some water, nearly spitting it out when he heard someone, "wow."
Felix wasn't facing the gym's entrance so he spun around, stood stunned for a minute, unsure of what to say or do. He didn't like the idea of someone seeing him dance when he wasn't really giving it his all, even though Jungmin had definitely seen him dance before, "I forgot how good you are."
