It was a simple question, really. The six words that toppled out, and was awaiting a response, shouldn't have been waiting so long. And the older just stood there, patient. It was mildly infuriating to the Australian. He tried to look for an exit route, maybe if he waited long enough, people would come barrelling by and he wouldn't have to answer, he could sneak away. He didn't get lucky though because he had been standing there going on forty seconds without having answered the older male. He should say something, "huh?"

"Do you want to hang out?" The older repeated, a stupid smile on his face. Changbin was stupid.

Australian looked down and furrowed his eyebrows, "we already kinda do. Like you find me at lunch and then at the diner with the others."

Changbin chuckled, "I meant outside of classes. And just us."

"I'm uh, a busy person," Felix wasn't sure why he was trying to decline so nicely. Hell, two days ago he probably would have laughed and promptly said, 'no.' Two days ago, he probably wouldn't have even let the older stop him from walking. Why was it suddenly different?

"That's okay," Changbin nodded and went to turn and walk away but stopped himself, "just let me know when you're free?"

He didn't even wait for Felix to reply, he just walked away. Leaving the Australian baffled in the hall. And he meant to only think the phrase, but instead he said it aloud, "the fuck?" And the Australian earned a couple looks from people in the hallway. He couldn't find himself to care.

It was stupid. So stupid. Changbin was stupid. Felix was just trying to go to his dance class in peace. He had just gotten back from lunch, having successfully dodged having to spend it with Changbin, only for the older male to approach him in the hallway. And once again, Changbin was invading his mind, refusing to leave and it pissed him off. Probably why he decided to not really take any breaks during his class, or take a whole lot of water breaks during his soccer practice when he really should have done that as well.

Jeongin and Seungmin were on him about not drinking water too. They knew something was going on in the Australian's mind because he always overworked himself when something was bugging him and he had been friends with the duo for so long that they knew his habits and he knew theirs. Seungmin had enough though, "hey Felix, come here."

"What?" Felix asked, but he let Seungmin drag him away from the rest of the team, Jeongin following them. Just like he let them after his games.

"What's going on with you?" Jeongin asked with a light sigh.

"Nothing," The Australian shook his head. He liked playing stupid sometimes, even though he knew that his friends could see right through his bullshit.

"Liar," Seungmin scoffed, "just tell us what's going on."

Felix sighed, looking down for a second before running a frustrated hand through his hair, "Changbin."

"What about him?" Jeongin asked, him and Seungmin sharing a look.

"He's trying...trying to be close," Felix said, "and I don't....I'm so scared."

"Tell him," Seungmin suggested, "just tell him that you're scared."

"I can't do that," Felix sighed, taking a seat there on the grass.

"Why not?" Seungmin questioned, him and Jeongin sitting down.

Jeongin frowned, "because that would be him getting close."

"Oh," Seungmin nodded, trying to think of something else to say. Something that could help his friend and something he hadn't said before. But he came up empty handed, and looked towards Jeongin who appeared to be in a similar stated that he was himself. They were both out of luck.
