LINA'S POV |

"lina! can you please hurry up, i need to use the bathroom!"

nick yells out from outside the door desperately and i quickly pack my makeup back up. i open the door and am greeted by nick who stares down at me and starts bursting.

i smack his chest with my makeup bag

"what's sooo funny nick? enlighten me."

"we're going to school not a party lina, who are you getting so pretty for?"

he asks crossing his arms and leaning against the door.

"nobody! well... everyone really. look the dance is this saturday and i gotta look good if I wanna be asked out."

he silently laughs and shakes his head.

"lina come on, i give it to minutes tops before someone will ask you out really. the boys there are all over you makeup done or not."

i roll my eyes smiling

"well I mean the cute ones."

"whatever you say little sis, now please move your beloved brother has to get pretty too."

i laugh

"you're over here giving me a pep talk on how I shouldn't need to dress up nicely and you're do the same thing?

"there are some pretty ladies at mission creek high that are waiting for me so if you excuse me."

he closes the door in my face and I roll my eyes and leave for school.

i walk up to and find leo along with chase and adam by the lockers. i join them seeing them stare at the big poster along the hall announcing the dance.

"guys, with the dance coming up, i thought you could use a lesson on how to ask a lady out."

leo says smirking confidently

"oh, great. do you know a guy who can teach us?"

adam says and i laugh as leo stares at him with a blank face.

"me! you're gonna watch me ask out the girl of my dreams, danielle."

he finishes looking over to her across the room with dreamy eyes.

"danielle? isn't that the girl who uses you as a footstool in math class?"

chase asks from besides us and i cringe imagining that.

"where else is she supposed to put her feet? on the floor?!"

"yes! like a normal person!"

i say in disbelief as leo shakes his head

"open your notebooks boys cause class is in session."

leo smirks at adam and chase and makes his way to danielle who is sitting down.

leo puts one foot on the bench and tries to come off as cool which is making it very hard for me to contain my laughter.

"hello danielle."

leo starts the conversation and danielle just awkwardly smiles at him.

"do you know how much a polar bear weighs?"

she shakes her head silently and i smile

"enough to break the ice."

i whisper to adam and chase as leo also says the line in unison.
