1.16 | manipulating water and people

"davenport, if i fall, i swear to god you're paying the hospital bills," lina yells down at her mentor. she hangs from the ceiling as davenport is on standby in case she falls.

"lina, i'm more concerned on how you're gonna get down," davenport frowns watching the girl from above.

"i'm more concerned for my life!" lina holds her breath as davenport's timer counts down. davenport was training her wall sticking bionics. she was currently training herself to stay stuck on the walls without falling.

"is it hot in here? it feels hot in here," lina nervously presses her hands on the ceiling, putting all her weight on it.

"if you keep having the mindset that you're gonna fall, you're gonna fall. your bionics are linked to your thoughts. that's the key," davenport explains, the stopwatch rings causing lina to sigh in relief.

"oh thank the lord," she quickly crawls down the wall. her feet instantly stick off the wall as she jumps down but her hands remain stuck.

"ugh stupid spiderman bionic!" lina cries out loud in annoyance as she pulls on her hands but nothing budges.

"remember, thoughts, bionics." davenport writes down in his journal notes from today's session. lina sighs, taking a deep breath as she closes her eyes. she smiles, relaxing her muscles as she pulls once more.

nothing moves.

"SON OF A-"

"LINA."

"i'm sorry davenport, i don't think i'll ever be able to get a hang of this bionic." lina frowns, sweat dripping from her forehead from all the stress.

"well what if i told you there was a spider on your shoulder.." davenport glances at her shoulder, watching her expression instantly change.

"SHUT THE FUCK UP WHERE?!" lina jumps out of place, shaking her shirt like crazy.

"voila, you're off the wall." davenport smiles at his successful strategy. lina stops shaking her shirt as she clenches her jaw at her mentor.

"ascendo." lina whispers, raising her hand whilst lifting davenport off his feet.

"noted, not so funny," davenport holds his journal tighter, in fear of his plummeting back down to the ground. lina enjoys her moment seeing davenport close his eyes in fear but that moment stays short lived as she hears the lab doors open. in fear of being caught, she drops davenport, hearing a big thud followed by

"OWWW," davenport groans on the floor, holding his side.

"that's weird, there's nobody here," lina looks around the doors, spotting no one.

"sorry i just wanted to see that go down," eddy's voice is heard throughout the room as his screen turns on, revealing his laughter. lina groans at the sight of him and walks over to help davenport up.

"what! i didn't get to see dollar tree spiderman fall off, i had to see someone fall!" eddy defends himself before his screen turns off.

"yeah, training for the day is officially over," davenport says as he makes his way to the nearest seat.

"i'm sorry davenport, let me go get you an ice pack," lina apologizes.

davenport shakes his head, "no really... and she's gone," he watched as she geo leaped out of the room.

lina leaps to her usual plant, hiding behind it to make sure the coast was clear.

"yes! totally gonna make it to the final level!" lina hears chase's voice as she enters the main room.
