LINA'S POV |

Leo's mom, Tasha, had just gotten married and Leo invited me over to go help them unpack at their new home.

"Welcome to your new home, Mrs. Davenport," Donald says carrying Tasha bridal style while spinning her around.

she squeals in excitement and replies back "why thank you, Mr. Davenport."

"absolutely, Mrs. Davenport," he says in a deeper voice as they both lean in and kiss.

I stand in the doorway with their bags and look away in disgust as Leo walks in with more bags.

"WE GET IT! You got married, it's getting old." Leo exclaims as I nod in agreement and set down the bags I'm holding.

They both glare at us as Donald puts Tasha down.

Leo drops his bags as he finally takes a look at his new house.

"WOW!" he says in shock with wide eyes.

He looks over at them, "You got this house just from inventing things?"

Donald nods "mhm"

"Way to go mom, that's a husband."

I chuckle at Leo's statement as Tasha smiles at her new husband and kisses him.

I look over to some weird device standing next to the couch.

"What in the world is that?" I ask walking towards it.

Donald quickly stops me from walking closer to it, "ooh, uh that is a my latest creation. Davenport Industries first completely interactive 3D TV." he finishes extending his arms out.

he then presses a button and a big flash appears and forms a 3D baseball field.

my eyes widen at the invention as a baseball player hits the ball and it comes flying towards Leo. he attempts to catch it but instead bumps into the wall as a small screen turns on revealing a small robot in the wall.

"watch the face termite." the robot in the wall exclaims as Leo quickly backs away from it not noticing it.

"mom I think the little voice inside my head is back," Leo says with a worried expression on his face.

I laugh at him as I make my way towards him, "no leo, that's just the weird freaky robot there." I say pointing towards the screen on the wall.

"who are you calling weird, mall rat," he says gesturing towards my rather cute outfit.

My eyes and mouth widen at his comment about my outfit and was about to respond back before leo covers my mouth with his hand.

Donald approaches the robot, "guys this is Eddy, he's my smart home system."

he then turns to us and introduces us, "Eddy, this is Leo, my new stepson, and this is Evangeline, his friend."

Leo starts waving at Eddy as I just fake a smile towards the creepy screen.

"Remember I told you Leo and Tasha are moving in today,"  he continues.

"Hehe hey welcome, everything here is mine," Eddy says narrowing his eyes at us.

Leo's smile quickly fades as Donald walks up to him, "uh Leo, why don't you go check out your new bedroom with Evangeline." He crouches down to his height and turns him towards a hall.

"just go straight down that hallway, and when you see the room with the video games and the action figures and the 50-foot screen TV," he says as I smile down at Leo and see his smile becoming wider.
