LINA'S POV |

MOM'S eyes soften when she watches my reaction as she grabs my shoulders.

"i was gonna tell you tonight but you never came home and i got worried." mom explains as i stand bewildered.

"you're being serious?" i ask as she nods hesitantly before sighing in front of davenport.

"well great, now you know both our secrets."

"and you know mine." davenport evens the playing field.

"bionics? please, you have watched too many sci-fi many movies." mom laughs at his response as davenport scoffs.

"it's billion dollar technology! you expect me to believe you're witches straight out of fairytales?" davenport argues back as mom rolls her eyes.

"that spell is the easiest in the book, i can even show you." mom confidently stands as davenport crosses his arms and signals her to show him.

"motus." she says as she extends her arm out toward the fruit bowl on the table and an apple flies to her hand. davevnport stares at her in shock as she smiles taking a bite into the apple.

"although i don't know how you managed to do it without saying the spell." mom adds on with a raised brow as davenport claps his hands.

"aha, see bionic." davenport rubs in her face.

"oh come on, how can you even prove that anyway?" mom crosses her arms causing davenport to think.

"when you were standing near the capsules earlier, you must have activated your bionics!" davenport thinks out loud as he claps in realization and heads to the lab but comes to a stop.

"wait, adam, bree, chase and leo are down there." davenport turns back around to us as i shrug smiling.

"so, they'd be thrilled." i look at him in confusion as he shakes his head.

"no, if you are bionic, that means that you're going to have to go through training just like they did. if we tell them now, i can't help but think you might hold them back." davenport tries to explain in the nicest way possible as i nod in understanding.

"why don't you come tomorrow and we'll test it out once they're away." davenport suggests as i nod and slightly smile back.

"and please feel free to come as well, i'd love for you and alexander to come have breakfast or lunch with us." davenport adds smiling at mom as mom sighs.

"i'm only allowing this to prove she's not bionic." mom points at him as she puts her arm around my shoulder and leads me out of their house.

"bionic. you are not some robot." mom mutters under her breath as we walk towards the car.

"well it's easier to believe than being a witch." i mutter in response as she closes the car door and i can see her stare at me from the corner of my eye.

"i wanted to wait till i thought you were ready. i can explain more when we get home." mom replies grabbing my hand in comfort before starting the vehicle.

"lina!" dad and nick instantly come up to hug me after i walk into the room.

"you're ok." nick sighs in relief hugging me as dad hugs me afterwards and smiles grabbing my shoulders.

"how could you scare us like that?!" dad's mood instantly changes as he slightly shakes me.
