1.12 | the light is coming

LINA'S POV |

"immobilus."

i extend my arm out towards nick as he freezes in place.

"lina, i can't move!" nick excitedly states as he stays in place.

"oh my god finally!" i smile at myself and sit down feeling stressed.

"practice makes perfect mija." mom reassures me hugging me as i sigh in frustration.

"your mom's right, concentration is key when first learning. soon you'll be able to light something on fire instantly." dad pats my back as mom smacks his arm,

"you couldn't have though of a better example?"

"it was the first thing that came to mind."  dad defends himself as mom rolls his eyes as i check the time.

"alright i gotta go meet up with davenport for a quick session before him and tasha head to australia. i'll see you all later."

"hey lina, before you go, it would be nice if you could you know, release my from the spell." nick asks as i groan and quickly turn back around to his frozen stance.

"saeclum." i mutter as he collapses on the ground and lifts himself up mumbling 'good job.'

"love you lina, be careful." dad states as i nod heading towards the door.

"love you too."

"oh and say hi to leo for us!" mom shouts as i close the door and head towards the davenport's.

i hold a pen from the lab up in the air and bring it over to davenport before releasing it into his hands.

"wow lina, that was great! just need to work on your landings. don't release it immediately, try to to get the pen in my hand. other than that, i think you're close to mastering your telekinesis."

"thanks davenport, wish i could say the same for my powers."

"i'm sure you'll get the hang of those, show me what you learned so far." davenport states as i nod.

"well so far i only really know two spells." i state shrugging as he runs around me.

"well then try and stop me." he excitedly yells as he takes my bag from the counter and starts to run out.

"immobilus."

i reach my arm out to davenport and to my surprise he stays in place forming a big smile on my face.

"what the..." davenport struggles to move as i walk in front of him.

"motus."

i extend my arm out to my bag as it flies over into my hand.

"remind me to train your bionics more cause at this rate you don't even need them."

"noted." i reply walking into the elevator.

"wait aren't you gonna release me from the spell?! lina!" davenport yells out as the doors begin to close.

"saeclum." i mutter as the doors close and i hear him collapse onto the ground.

i walk out of the elevator and am greeted by the rest of the family in the main room.
