On the other hand when they finished and realized that it was so late already they decided to have their rest and headed to their own room, everyone had fallen asleep in ease aside from greggy and irene who was in a complete chaos of mess earlier and as for zoey who's still in awe of how happy she felt was. As she can't sleep and wanted a fresh air, she decided to sat down on the balcony of the second floor. Indeed it not just look peaceful at night but it feels so surreal realm of peace and home.
When suddenly her phone rang and revealed it was her mother emmeline who's calling, "Hi mommy, good morning there", she greeted lovely. She saw her mother who was still at bed as it was just near eight in the morning palang sa US aside from the philippines that it was already near midnight. "Why are you still up young lady?"
"Can't sleep mom, I guess I get too excited", panimula niyang saad kay emmline na ngiting ngiting.
"So how's your stay with your tita?"
"It was nice mom, she's so kind and nice her family actually was so nice, They treat me like their own here. Mamu together with tito bong, tita Imee and the adults were here too. I had too much fun mom", she said as if she was over the moon because of how fascinated she was. This was one of the family she dreamed off, well masaya naman siya sa buhay na meron siya but she wanted a bigger family. Yung may kapatid at pinsan, tito's at tita's.
Napangiti naman si emmeline habang pinapakinggan ang kanyang anak, galak ang nararmadaman ni emmeline sa bawat kuwento ng anak niya. "That's good anak"
"And you know what mom, I loved it here I really do. Its so fun, I fell like i've known them for so long already. I loved them", she contend with all sincerity ang gladness the world could offer.
"As I said anak, they had been my family also. At alam ko they'll treat you also like their own family already anak", emmeline stated.
"And with that I loved to be part of this family mom.", zoey replied back. "I will not prolong it already mom as I think you had something to attend today, Love you mom. Ingat kayo diyan! Tell dad I love him he's so tagal"
"Hey I'm here already", saad na singit ni hansley na kakalabas sa banyo at iniharap ni emmeline ang camera kay hansley
"So bagal dad"
"Whatever anak. You take care there okay? Love you"
"You too dad, love you. Look for mom, ha"
" I will ma'am, she's secured I promise", sabi nito at natawa nalang si emmeline, nagpaalam na si emmeline at pinatay ang tawag.
Meanwhile after the heated conversation, greggy decided to go out of the room already to breathe but before he could close the door he looked at Irene again she's crying but right now greggy couldn't do anything he's any he could have all the reason to be so. Ikaw ba naman malaman na may anak ka pala at ang masama doon ay 'yung inaasam mo pa ngunit itaga sa'yo hi dila lang dekada kundi lagpas lagpas pa. With all the courage he closed the door and decided that he would stroll around the farm not until he heard something and it was zoey while talking with emmeline.
He didn't want to eavesdropping but he did, it made greggy more feel so devastated upon hearing zoey uttering those word, "you were anak, you're part of this family', greggy whispered to himself.
As the phonecall ended greggy fixed himself and went near zoey, he feels he needed zoey at this time. He needs her daughter, "Why are you still awake?", he asked which made zoey startle and look at greggy. Zooey frown. Greggy saw it.
"Oh I'm sorry I didn't mean to startle you"
"HMM", sabi ulit ni zoey at nakakunot noo na tinitignan si greggy. "Sit down here tito", dagdag nito at tinapik ang space sa tabi niya habang nakatingin parin kay greggy.
"Looks like your stare would eat me"
"Are you okay tito, you're much worse of a red tomato?" Agad na tanong ni Zoey kay greggy dahil pansin nito kung paano maga ang mata niya at mas red pa sa tomato. She's like that when she just finished crying, pag maputi ka halatado talaga.
"I am, just the alcohol", palusot naman ni greggy pero hindi kumbinsido si zoey pero hinayaan niya nalang
Tahimik ang dalawa walang nagsasalita at parehong pinagmamasdan lang ang bituin at buwan, "UHM, tito"
"hmm"
"Thank you po ha?", tumingin naman si greggy dito.
"Thank you para saan?"
"Thank you kase you made time for this, I know it was too inconvenient within you. Looking how busy you're always you still choose to be here and spend time. I really appreciate it so much, Never had been in life I experinced this kind of vacation",
"Hmm. Never had been?"
"Yung ganito, It just feels so genuine tito. I always wanted to have a big family to experince this kind of vacation but unfortunately I wasn't I was an only child. I only have mom and dad, when Grandma and Grandpa died I was just 8 years old that time, I never felt already how does it feels like to have other family members." sabi niya at bumuntong hininga
"I guess I'm just happy tito, and thank you for making me experience what I wanted to experience long time already. It feels like one of my childhood dream had been filled", sabi ni zoey at tumingin kay greggy at ngumiti.
"Im glad you enjoy this vacation. It's my pleasure" saad naman ni greggy at nginitian rin ito. Ngunit sa kaloob-looban ay sobrang galak na ang nararamdam ni greggy.
"Once again, thank you tito"
Biglang niyakap ni zoey si greggy na siyang parang biglang bumigat ulit ang nararamdaman ni greggy at parang iiyak na ulit. Tinapik-tapik naman ni greggy ito, "It's already too late you should sleep already", sabi ni greggy
Nagbunny smile ito at tumingin kay greggy, natawa naman ito. "What is it?", saad ni greggy alam na niya ito dahil ganito rin ang ugali ni irene, dito sa ngiti na ito siya nadadali lagi pag may gusto si irene and unexpectedly he can't say no because they were cute within smiling like a bunny.
"Can you accompany me sa kitchen tito? I'm a little bit scared kuya borgy was telling me kase earlier there's a mumu here baka mamaya its true talaga?", she said and pouted
"Looks like napagtripan ka ng magpipinsan"
"Is there a mumu ba talga here tito? Diba it was yours?"
"Meron", greggy said seriously as they were heading downstairs already which made zoey come closer to greggy.
"Just joking, wala naman your kuya's love to spend time nga here when thy're still young", saaad muli ni greggy na siyang sumimangot naman si zoey
"Tito naman", tumawa nalang si greggy at pinaupo si zoey sa counter top at siya na ang kumuha ng baso at agatas sa ref. Nagkuwentuhan pa sila ng konti habang iniinom ang gatas. Pagkatapos ay umakyat na sila sa taas.
"Thank you for accompanying me tito, good night. You take some rest na din po",
"Good night zoe", saad nman ni greggy at hinatak si zoey para yakapin na siya naman pagyakap pabalik ni zoey.
Ngumiti siya ng sobra at nagpaalam na ulit, pagtapos 'nun ay nagtungo na si greggy sa kanilang kuwarto, ngiti-ngiting ito at kahit paaano ay naibsan ang kanyang galit.
