It had been two weeks since emmeline was discharged from the hospital her body became weaker and weaker, upon her last appointment the doctor already confronted her that her situation was already incurable as it spread through her organs already which means she don't have that much time left, they didn't inform zoey upon this again the mag-asawa just kept it towards them. Emmeline was cherishing every single moment already she had left with zoey while she also prepared herself to tell zoey the truth regarding her true identity.
Irene and her already had a talk for the past week to tell her family already regarding zoey so that they wouldn't be in a state of shock when they would know the truth, alam ni emmeline na hindi ganoon kadali matatanggap ni zoey ang lahat and knowing it kailangan ni Irene ng masasandalan sa mga posibleng mangyayare.
"Anak", emmeline called zoey who's busy on her laptop checking some updates as she's sitting squatting on the floor.
"Yes mom?", Zoey asked and faced her mom. Emmeline taps the space beside her which Zoey gets right away.
Emmeline wrapped her arms around her daughter, "anak always remembers that no matter what happened always choose to forgive and don't let your emotions overcome you. Don't be blinded by the pain okay? Always choose to understand things, the feeling and emotions you would feel are valid but also understand how they feel, okay? Be considerate and choose your peace."
"What are you saying mom?"
"Anak... Keep in mind that there are uncertain things happening in life that we need to sacrifice something for their own good but that doesn't mean they have loved you least already. "
"Mommy? What are you saying?", she ask out of her own curiosity and instinct that there's something her mother wanted to imply to her.
"Hays. Maiintindihan mo din sa mga susunod na araw anak, for now let me cherish this sweet moment with you. Let's stay like this for a while. I love you, my mon ange", emmeline sweetly said and planted multiple kisses on her daughter's forehead.
"I love you too so much, mon amour", zoey said and faced her mom as she planted a soft kiss on her forehead and side cheek kisses. They stayed like that and treasure the time together
On the counterpart, Irene called her mother together with Imee and bonget that they needed to know something very important and they'll see them at San Juan which everyone responded with a yes. Not so long after Bongbong arrived together with Liza while Imee was on her own as Borgy was busy same with Mattew, Michael and Sandro. While Simon and Vinny was currently out of the country.
They first ate thier meal and headed to the conference room they had for some privacy, which everyone was starting to think what would it be.
"What is this about, Irene?", Imee ask
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to keep it too long for you guys but I just really got scared that time."
"What are you talking about anak?", Imelda asked in confusion.
"Mommy, I'm sorry", irene said as tears began to form in her eyes. "Zoey is--"
"Bakit si zoey? Does something happened to her?", Imelda asked
"No. I'm sorry. Zoey. Mommy zoey is my daughter", irene said straightly which made everyone shocked and wasn't able to react quickly. Silence occupied the room for a while as tears swelled up on thier eyes, it wasn't sinking to them yet.
"What?! Can you please repeat what you said Irene?", Imee asked
"Manang, zoey is my daughter"
"If this is a joke irene hindi ito nakakatuwa", bong joined in and you can see how serious he was already.
"Irene. What are you talking about? Anong anak?, Dagdag pa nito
"Pamangkin namin si zoey?", Saad ni imee
"Paano?", Imelda just plainly ask.
"Mommy, sorry hindi ko alam. I was lost that time nag aaway kami ni greggy, I was pregnant when I left I stayed with manang emmeline sa bukidnon sa farm house until I gave birth kaya almost one year akong di umuwi"
"Irene?! Teka nga naguguluhan ako", Sabi ni Imee na litong litong na. Hindi Siya makapaniwala Dito.
"Let her speak and explain", Sabi ni Imelda na siyang nagpatahimik sakanila.
"Maniwala kayo, I tried reaching out noong okay na ang pamilya namin. We're still trying to fix our family our marriage noon, I wasn't able to tell you kase hindi ko alam natakot ako sa dahilan na hindi ko alam."
"What is that excuse Irene! They waited for you! Hinanap ka namin! We tried to find you! You should've told us nor inform us at least noon and now sasabihin mo saamin that zoey was our pamangkin? Irene naman! Ano to hello surprise may pamangkin pala kami without our knowledge? 16years Irene 16years?! Ngayon mo lang talaga sasabihin saamin to! Ang galing naman", Sabi ni Imee almost shouting as she ran outside the room and slammed the door.
"Sabi ko na may iba noon pa, the way you look for emmeline at sa panahon na nakita na natin siya alam kung may mali, that's the reason why you're so eager to meet them. Anak mo pala si zoey, tama si Manang Imee ang babaw ng dahilan mo irene. Dinamay mo yung anak niyo ni greggy ng dahil lang sa walang kwentang hindi pa okay na mag-asawa? Ano sa tingin mo ang pamangkin ko naging sacrificial limb? Nag kaayos nga kayo ni greggy pero nawala ang anak mo sayo! You could've told us noon pa, pamilya mo kami Irene tutulungan ka namin to get through that one pero anong ginawa mo you choose to ran away tas ngayon sasabihin mo yan! Irene ang daming pagkakataon na puwede mong ipagtapat saamin ngayon pa talaga? How could you bear it for 16years hindi kaba hinahabol ng guilt? I'm so disappointed on you Irene", bong uttered and also walked out of the scene irene was just crying as she heard hurtful words from them.
I deserve it. She thinks.
"Mommy, I'm sorry", irene said and kneeled down infront of Imelda
"Hindi ko kayo pinalaki ng ganyan Irene, I feel so dissapointed on you", imelda uttered and left which luis stand up as he look at her mom and followed Imelda.
Irene cries became louder and louder not until she feel someone hug her, she look up and saw her sister in law Liza
"Liza sorry"
"Shush! Hindi ako naging sang ayon sa desisyon tama si manang Imee, Irene nandito naman kami noon na pamilya mo para sandalan mo, why do you have to do that thing? We are ready to help you through that", Liza said first with a dissapointment oh her voice but as a mother she understands Irene. She sighed, "peru nandiyan na e, nagawa na. Wala na tayong magagawa para magsisihan pa sa nakaraan ang importante ngayon ay itama ang mali, pagpasensyahan mo na si manang Imee at bonget galit lang sila nagulat sila." Liza said trying to calm her sister in law down
"Alam na ba to ni zoey?"
"Hindi pa, I want to tell you guys first before manang emmeline will tell to zoey the truth"
"Tahan na nandito lang kami, hayaan muna natin silang kumalma bago tayo mag usap usap ulit. Tama na kakaiyak ang singkit mo na lalo ka pang magiging singkit niyan"
"Salamat Liza"
Liza just nod as she let irene calm down herself.
