The rest of the day went by quite fast, which meant that the party hosted in the Hufflepuff common room was getting closer and closer, the excitement building up in everyone.

Our parties were completely different from Slytherin's and Gryffindor's, they were much more chill and more like my scene.

It was just going to be us too, not any other houses, so it wouldn't be too overwhelming.

Cedric was normally the main host of the party, he was very good at keeping it organized and making sure nothing went wrong. However, since this party was to celebrate our win thanks to him catching the snitch, we all forced him to step back and let us host, giving him time to relax.

Of course, he tried to argue and claim that he should be the one to do it, but eventually he gave in and let everyone else have the responsibility.

Most Hufflepuff parties we spent sat around and playing games. Some people would split off but nearly everyone would group together since there wasn't too many of us.

I was looking forward to it, much more than I did with any other party.

Every other house knew that we would be having it, as well as the Professors, parties to celebrate victories were really the only ones that all the Professors allowed, as long as they didn't get out of control.

For Slytherin parties after they beat Gryffindor, Snape would usually hang around just to make sure nothing went wrong.

But for us Hufflepuffs, because we weren't as wild as the Slytherins, we didn't need any supervision, or at least they thought we didn't. I'm sure they wouldn't be too happy about some of the things that went on though.

I stood on top of one of the chairs, hanging up a Hufflepuff tapestry as the other girls put up the rest to decorate our common room.

Holding a pin in between my teeth, I glanced down at Justin who was helping me put it up, "Hammer." I ordered, thanking him as he lifted it up into my hands.

I placed the pin on the last corner and lightly tapped it into the wall, keeping the tapestry in place.

Justin held out his hand to help me step down, both of us then turning around to see the Quidditch team haul in a barrel of butterbeer, everyone cheering as they did.

"They really went all out." Justin raised his eyebrows, both of us grinning at the sight of it.

The common room looked amazing, and it wouldn't be long until it was ready, and the party would start, we just needed the few finishing touches.

Banners were hung up across the walls, Cedric's name on half of them to celebrate him.

I just knew he was going to love it.

"I think we're done here, don't you?" Hannah walked over to us with her arms crossed against her chest, her nose high in the air with pride.

I nodded, turning around to take it all in, admiring our work.

Megan and Susan walked next to her, Megan reaching out to grab my hand and pull me towards them, "Time to get ready! Come on!!" She giggled before dragging us up to our dorms, all of us laughing in excitement.

Hannah immediately forced me to sit in her chair, wanting to do my hair again, which I definitely wouldn't refuse.

I tried to keep my mind off Malfoy, feeling slightly disappointed that he didn't come and congratulate me or anything, but then again, could I really expect him to?

In all honesty, I was also using the party to get my mind off him and what happened last night.

I hadn't seen him at all actually and he was hard to miss. While walking through the corridors I had seen Theo and some other Slytherin's he usually was with, but there was no sight of him and I didn't dare to ask Theo where he was.
